My dad is a vegetarian. But he's a meat and potatoes, hold the meat kind of vegetarian. He doesn't eat anything (in his words) "yuppy". Most of the veggie items on the menus at allears are things he wouldn't eat. Udon noodles, cashew vinagrette and mushroom potstickers just make him head the other way.
At table service places can we do things like get him an adult-sized portion of a children's item like pasta with tomato sauce? Or put together a few side dishes? He might eat a plate that was risotto and asparagus for example (the risotto is pushing it, but he's eaten risotto before)
What about counter service restaurants? Can we get him a cheeseburger no burger? (Any idea what that would cost, I'd hate to pay $6 for a bun, a slice of cheese and some lettuce). Can you order salads at counter service with some things left off? He might eat the Pecos Bill salad with no chicken and no jicama, for example.
The restaurants are going to love us, we're a party of 7 - 4 gluten free, one no sugar, one vegetarian...
