my girlfriend and I are going to WDW in september and we are really excited.
but we have a small problem, my girlfriend is a vegetarian and is worried about what her options will be when it comes to eating in the park and resort (all star sports).

I've always seen vegetarian options at the restaurants, but even better than that, at the table-service places, the chefs are VERY accomodating if you just tell them what you want or don't want. I've special-ordered tons of stuff and never had an issue. Mention it when you make the rezzies and again to your server and it should be fine. enjoy!

Hello! I am veggie and have always found lots of options in Disney, but you might have to dig a little or make some calls ahead of time. First off I would start by looking at the links for menus that a PP gave you. Also here is a link for a book. http://www.amazon.com/Vegetarian-Disney-Greater-Orlando-Guides/dp/0967928001 It is a little old, but still has lots of great suggestions. If there is a place that you would like to eat, but do not see many options call the main Disney number and ask for the phone number of the restaurant. Then call them and ask to speak to the head chef. DO NOT BE APPREHENSIVE ABOUT DOING THIS. I had to call 3 places for our trip in Feb. and I got great results each time. All the chefs were great and excited to fix me something special.

Off hand here are some tips: (this is based on my experience, it may be slightly off)
~All Disney kitchens, food courts, and resort gift shops have soy milk
~I have always been able to substitute a veggie or Boca patty for real meat in hamburgers
~Mickey pretzels are completely vegan
~The bakery on mainstreet in MK has vegan dining options
~Columbia Harbor House in MK has a great vegetarian chili
~The grilled cheese served at the ASSports food court is yummy, although not very healthy!

If you have specific questions, please feel free to ask me. :hippie:
