So I leave tomorrow for Vegas. I haven't flown since before 2001 (but I have plenty of small round white pills to help with that).

Any one been to Vegas before...any thing I HAVE to see/do? We have a Cirqu show scheduled!!!!!!!

It's me and my mom (she's kinda like Rosie....a fun mom, bit of a....well a huge wild side.....not a goat lover though).

Where should we eat?

I trust you guys more than anyone else on this board......wow that just sounds funny!

A few things you may want to check out....

Next to Circus Circus, a dump called Slots of Fun! The biggest and nastiest chilli dog you have ever seen! Well worth the heart burn!

A side trip to Hoover Damn, very good way to spend an afternoon!

A trip downtown, this is "Old Vegas" and a blast! Spend an evening down there to catch the light show!

Other than that, you should have a blast! There are a ton of things to do in Vegas! Have fun!

There is a Vegas board under the DLR area.

Check out my trip report.....Diva Las Vegas. Spent a week there with a bunch of gals from the DIS. We did tons of stuff and there are a lot of pics in there as well.

I agree about slots of fun.

Is that the nastiest dive on the stip or what? Well worth the $1.00 they charge for ANYTHING!

Its like the armpit of the strip. But you gotta love those dogs. My mother would die if she knew I was repeating this story.....but as crappy of a place as Slots is....she got kicked out of there. She was with a few couples and they were drinking, well she passed out on one of the machines, and they booted her.

I was driving down the strip two weeks ago with my DD, and pointed that place out. She thought it looked cool. But when she saw Circus Circus, she couldn't believe people actually went in there. She said it looked like it smelled like pee.

Circus Circus is a dive, in a bad way! But Slots of Fun, is a dive in a very good way! :thumbsup2

If you have enough money for another show, you HAVE to see zumanity, one of the cirque shows. It was too incredible for words. Moving, powerful, sexy, erotic, funny... I cant list enough adjectives to fully describe it. Its the gayest of the cirque shows and basically celebrates human sexuality in all its many forms. (Love is my second favorite of the vegas cirque shows.)

What else... God I love vegas too much to narrow it down. "Dicks last resort" at Excalibur is a lot of fun if you have a good sense of humor. The waiters and staff are all super sarcastic and make fun of you. If you can laugh at yourself (and those around you...) youll be bent over with laughter for your whole meal.

If you are interested in the club/bar scene, let me know, and I can point you to some good gay clubs.

WE will be going to the VooDoo Lounge one night.

I'm not really into the club scene, but my mom is, although Her and I clubbing is not a good idea!!!!

OHHHH how could I forget.... When I went we sampled pretty much all the buffets, cause we looooove to eat.

By far the best buffet as far as price/selection/tastiness went is the buffet at the Wynn.

Also, dont forget to get your free drinks as you are visiting the different casinos. Just plop down at the nickel slots for a few minutes. As soon as you see a cocktail waitress meander by, play the machine once. Then stop her and order your free booze.

edit: Dont forget Vegas has no open-bottle laws. If you have a drink from one casino that you havent finished yet, you can take it with you out onto the street and sip it to your next destination.

I found it amusing that all the resorts in Vegas use the same glassware because of this.
