Vegas Trip ~ November '09 (It's over, but we had a blast!)

I am sure we could find something interesting and fun to do afterwards. ;):upsidedow Any ideas for brunch?

You know what might be good? Remember we went to the Peppermill lounge for drinks that one night? They also have the Peppermill restaurant. They are supposed to have really good food, especially their omelets, and they have a 24 hour breakfast menu, so we can get there whenever and order breakfast.

That might be kind of fun and something different. Whatchya think?

So what's up? I'm ready for pumpkin pie cheesecake!

Me too, Marcie :goodvibes

Beth, that museum sounds great. Thanks for picking up the tix at such a great price. And you're right about the shopping. I don't want to fight the crowds for a bargain. Not my style. Especially if I'm chilling with you guys on a mini-vacation.;)

Hey - I'll be in Vegas three weeks from today!

I'm glad to see posts. I was thinking maybe everyone decided not to come. lol
Any word from Stacie, Deb or Cheryl? I'm going to message Jane and Amy and see what they are thinking. I hope they can sneak away to do some thing with us too. :wizard:

I was just checking that. I found a 2-for-1 coupon for Bite, but then I saw it starts at 10:30! That's pretty late, don't ya think?

Penn and Teller starts at 9, which is better, but still on the late side. The Mentalist starts at 7:30 and is at Planet Hollywood. I can look for discounts for that. :confused3

If the show starts at 7:30, we can eat dinner around 5. Whatchya think?

Oh, and you can go to the walk up window at Serendipity's to get a frozen hot chocolate. :thumbsup2

Yes we shoul coordinate our show with the others so we can better meet up afterwards.

Ok. I'll look into Mentalist tickets then and let ya know. And I'll take Bite and Penn and Teller off as options. We can keep those for another time. ::yes::

I'm excited to see y'all again! I need to get in a Vegas mind set. Gotta lose some weight to fit into my clothes! And start looking spiffy for those nights out. ;) :rotfl:

I was perusing the MGM Grand website tonight and noticed they have something called the "CSI Experience". It lasts 60-90 minutes and costs $30. It says you interactively solve a mystery. It sounds really cool. Have you heard of that Beth? Know anyone who has done it? It sounds like something I would like.::yes::

Has there been any specials released for Zumanity? I don't really want to pay full price. We can book KA at MGM for 40% off. I would like that. Just throwing ideas out there. Or is there something else?

the CSI experience thing sounds like fun! And I agree on not paying full price for Zumanity--

I've heard of it, but have not done it and I don't know anyone who has. :confused3 It's fairly new.

As for Zumanity, the locals special right now is what the other special used to be which is buy one ticket, get one for $25. That's the only deal I've found for Zumanity so far.

I think Jane and I are going to join you all for the dinner at Wolfgang's, then sit out the show, and then meet up again for drinks at Kahunaville. :thumbsup2 We've both seen Zumanity, and KA, and being on a tight budget we'll just find something else to do while y'all are in the show.

Amy's going to try and meet up with us for a bit too. Either Friday night or Saturday night.

Cheryl, do you still have your membership for the radio shopping show? If so, they have those CSI tickets on sale for $35 for a pair. Just an FYI. http://www.kshp.com/catalog/index.asp

Linda, are you still driving down with Stacie? Is she still coming?

Unfortunately, I won't be able to join you guys. I let Linda know the other day before I posted it here. Due to my boss leaving, one manager has to be on duty every day. The CIO has made that mandatory. So in order to be able to have the time off to spend with Taylor earlier in the week, I had to give up my Friday off. So no Vegas for me this time. I am really bummed. I was looking forward to seeing eveyrone and I really wanted to go to the museum. Oh well, there is always next time. I do want to see all the pics and hear all the stories though.

KA is really good!

Oh bummer. :( That's too bad, but I understand. Real life sometimes gets in the way of fun. And there will be other times for sure!! Marcie and Theresa are thinking of coming in May, maybe we can put something together for then. Or July. It's hot, yes, but we'll be inside most of the time so that would still work.

KA is really good!

Is is good. I've seen it twice and loved it both times! Very impressive, more than Zumanity I think, although I enjoyed them both just in very different ways.

I am very bummed Stacie is not able to come.:sad1:
But we all understand that sometimes work comes first and family ALWAYS comes first - and between the two she has no spare time that week.

Deb - I wish you could come, too.:flower3:

Well, I guess we have to decide which show we want to see. Cheryl - what do you want to see? I really love WGP but if we stay at MGM and see KA it doesn't make sense to drive over there, does it? But drinks at Kahunaville sounds good.:thumbsup2. I guess the plans are up in the air again!

Actually Wolfgang Puck's is inside the MGM. So we can eat there and then y'all can either see KA in the same hotel, or walk across the bridge to NY NY to see Zumanity. Both are easy and convenient. :thumbsup2
