Vegas Trip ~ November '09 (It's over, but we had a blast!)

Beth, how's the weather? I am going to be cold in my little dresses!
During the day we'll probably have highs in the 60's. At night it will get cold, so definitely bring some sort of jacket for the evenings. Brrrr!

I double checked and it says they have a 4 pm and an 8pm show on Sunday. We could do the 8 pm and that way we could spend the rest of the day together up until that point. I was being selfish and saying 4 pm cause that's best for me, but I think 8 pm is best for the group.

But that would put your show over at almost 11:00!! That's really late isn't it? Will Cheryl's mom be able to stay up that late and won't you be tired the next day? :confused3
Don't worry about me and Marcie. We'll be ok. Since we are skipping Lion King anyway, do what works for you three. We can still hang out during the day.

I really want to see the Bellagio so we can skip Dick's. But Burger Bar sounds good. I want to squeeze in the CSI Experience somewhere.

You guys could and should still do Burger Bar after Lion King because it's in Mandalay Bay literally right up the escalator from where the Lion King theater is!! You can't get anymore convenient. lol

Where should we work in CSI? On Saturday instead of the museum? :confused3 It's up to y'all.
My replies are in red.

I'm easy as long as I get my few requests, hot men, friends to laugh and cut up with and a drink or two
:yay: :woohoo: :cool1:  :thumbsup2 Amen!!
And no, not ten!! :lmao: :rotfl2:

Okay Theresa do you really think I'm going to be taking any pictures in Vegas???? And what are these Chippendales you speak of????

I know, right? Marcie, you really gotta loosen up a little and just go with it!!! Take pics, it won't hurt (much :rotfl2:). And the Chippendales are probably a leetle bit advanced for you right now. I vote you wait until the next trip before doing something so wild as that. Start out slow, Marcie, and pace yourself :rotfl:

:rotfl2:
Good question. I don't know either! We should go find out. :rolleyes1

I think you should wait until next time I can come down too and I'll show you around the Chippendales, 'K?? I don't want to set you two loose on them on your own :scared1:

I'm going to pass on the Lion King. I will be sad Sunday night :( all alone lol. Linda if you want to grab a drink when we get back to the hotel Friday night I'm game. Just don't talk to Theresa firt she'll probably tell u some story about me staying up all night. Don't listen haha.

How much you gonna pay me :rolleyes1 J/K!!! Linda, you are going to have so much fun! The Lion King sounds like a lot of fun (never seen it.....) and I love CSI. You'll have to tell me all about it, just speak loudly so my sobbing won't bother you too much

Cheryl, you bringing Jello shots????

OKay ladies, did a bit more tweaking, lol, and so how does this sound? :confused3 Does this work everything we want to do in there okay? You just need to pick a show for Saturday night now......

Schedule

Friday

Beth and Marcie go to dinner at Bahama Breeze, followed by The Mentalist (hoping to get cheap tix that day)
Linda, Cheryl and Doris have dinner downtown, followed by the Gordie Brown show.
After shows are over, all meet up again at Carnaval Court near Harrahs where they have drinks, flair bartenders and dancing. And Ghirardelli's is right there too for dessert

Saturday

11:00 brunch at Peppermill restaurant, followed by the CSI Experience.
Early dinner @ 5:00 (reservations required) at Wolfgang Pucks in MGM.
After dinner Linda, Cheryl and Doris, see a show, either KA or Zumanity. Beth and Marcie will play it by ear.
After show meet for drinks at Kahunaville

Sunday
Lunch at Cheesecake Factory @ 11:30, followed by Bellagio conservatory and fountains.
Cheryl, Doris and Linda go to Lion King @ 4:00, with dinner after show, around 7:00 @Burger Bar.
Beth and Marcie go to dinner at Burger Bar @ 5:30, then to see Chippendales.

After Chippendales I've got to head home, so Marcie can go back to the hotel and meet up with you guys, unless she finds other plans. :rolleyes1 ;)

I think you should wait until next time I can come down too and I'll show you around the Chippendales, 'K?? I don't want to set you two loose on them on your own :scared1:
Awwww, look how sweet and caring you are.
Oh, but you needn't worry. I'm sure we'll be fine. And if we get lost or scared, I'm sure we'll find a big strong man with pouty lips to show us the way. But hey, thanks anyway!! :thumbsup2

STOP sobbing and get to booking your tix!!!!!! :rolleyes1

Well I do get lost sometimes, but I'm not skeered of Chippendales, it's time to get out of my shell.

I just may have some unfinished business plans sometime.

Theresa, I am still upset you are not going!:guilty:

Marice, I can't wait till we have a drink together. But not too many or I get into too much mischeif. And then DH won't let me go again. Wait, he won't know, right? ;)

Beth, it all sounds perfect to me, but I REALLY want Cheryl to chime in - I am one third of the group and her and Doris have two votes! Cheryl, where are you girlfriend!?!?:woohoo:

It's all innocent fun. Beth and Theresa are married and have fun (i think) :rotfl: As for me, i would love to be married to prince charming, but since the fates are against me, i talk to EVERYONE in Vegas. :rotfl:

Just remember, what happens in Vegas can go home in pictures.

Okay, I know we are not getting anywhere since we keep changing, but I just want to add to Linda that the Price is Right has a Saturday 2:30 show. I think this would be a lot of fun.http://www.bestofvegas.com/Shows-Ti...lzoo___website-_-The_Price_is_Right-_-NA-_-NA

Beth, what are the hours of the musuem? We could always just pass on a show completly Saturday and do the musuem, price is right, CSI, eat at Wolfgang pucks then go to Kahunaville. Just a thought.

I would be up for this, too. We are doing a show on Friday and Sunday nights. The museum sounded different and Beth already bought tix, right? Still waiting for Cheryl...(insert tapping-foot smiley here).:)

:rotfl2: Gotta love it when the plans change every five minutes. :lmao:

This is a great idea though Marcie!!! Someone had their thinking cap on this morning. :thumbsup2

The CSI Experience runs every 10 minutes, no reservations required but they do recommend you purchase advance tickets, and is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
It lasts approximately 60-90 minutes, and the cost is $30.

The museum is open from noon to midnight, no reservations needed, and like all museums it only takes as long as you want to spend walking through it.

The Price is Right is at 2:30, but you need to be there at least an hour prior to register. And the running time is 1 hour and 45 minutes. You do need tickets ahead of time, and the cost is $50. So that would take from approximately 1:30 until ending at around 4:30.

So based on that info and the things we want to do that day, what do you think of this:

Saturday
10:30 brunch at Peppermill restaurant
12:00 Erotic Heritage Museum, walk around for an hour or so
1:30 Be at Bally's to register for Price is Right (1:30 until approx. 4:30)
Back to MGM to change for dinner
6:00 dinner (reservations required) at Wolfgang Pucks in MGM
8:00 CSI Experience (60-90 minutes)
By 9:30 we should be ready to head to Kahunaville for drinks.

It would be busy, but fun, AND you'd get everything you all wanted to do in there.
Let me know if that works for everyone.

I found Price is right tix for $10 off, if i need to buy the tickets i can.

That schedule works for me!

The link Beth provided shows TPIR tix for $39 (regular price $55).
And yesterday that link had 30% off of The Lion King and today that offer is gone. I am so mad! Do you think it will come back? Again, I don't want to pay full price. We'll figure something out! I really need Cheryl's input. :flower3:

I know we change our minds everyday!

It's still there. Just scroll down a bit. http://entertainment.travelzoo.com/las-vegas-entertainment/
The Lion King special is on through Dec. 6. And I saw the Price is Right one too which is good just until the day needed, the 28th! That's a much better deal than 50 bucks! :thumbsup2

Cheryl, where are you dear?? Your input and presence is requested. ;)

I think we are getting a good itenerary set now. Cherylllllllllllll

sorry girls--I was doing something totally unworthwhile like working! LOL

I am good with everything BUT have no interest in the erotic heritage museum thingie. I am good with either doing the rest of beth's itinerary or doing The Lion King--whatever Linda prefers.

Working?? :confused3 ;)

We can skip doing the museum. I've been before and the tickets were only 5 bucks a pair. Doesn't matter to me.

Well if we skip the museum we won't be as rushed. I will volunteer to get the price is right tickets but i need to know how many. It would be so cool if one of us got called to "come on down"

Ok Marcie - I want to go to TPIR, please get me a ticket. I'll pay you back in Vegas. I hope Jane and Amy want to go. If we have a group it will be more fun! I'll PM Cheryl about the Lion King. We'll plan on seeing it.

Beth, what was that that link you posted about the CSI experience - 2 tix for $35? Can we get that?

Beth are you going to see if Jane & Amy need a ticket? Cheryl is you Mom going to Price is Right?
