Anyone have any thoughts? Thinking about booking a surprise trip to Vegas for me & my DH's anniversary.

What can we expect the weather to be like? Is this a good time of year for Vegas?

DH and I got married in vegas at the end of March and the weather is perfect. Actually I have been there several times in March and the weather was low 80's each time.
Its not going to be super hot, but nice weather.
Have a great trip. I hope to surprise my DH with a trip to vegas next year in 2010 for our 10 year anniversary.

I took Hubby last March for March Madness. The weather was really nice. Light jacket at night got us through. Not sure if you want to go for the basketball tournament or avoid it. You may want to research when it starts this year. We got a really good deal at MGM. It was a stay 2 nights get 1 night free. Found it on Fatwallet. I bet there are even better deals this year but Fatwallet always seems to be a good place to check. Good luck on your planning.

DH and I celebrated our 20th Anniversary in Vegas this past March. Weather was just perfect, got to sit by the pool during the day and like pp said a light jacket at night. Sunny and mid - high 80's when we were there. Love Vegas...

Southwest airlines is having a 50% off Vegas sale through March. Good luck!

Definitely avoid March Madness weekends.

I checked this AM when I got the Southwest email just for kicks, and they had some flights out of RDU in early March for as low as $85 each way! They also had some deals on hotel rooms, but I didn't check on those. Weekends will cost more (air and hotel), so if you could go betwen Sun-Thurs you'll save more.

I love Vegas in March. As others have said - you will want avoid March Madness.

The first weekend of March is Nascar weekend in Vegas. Room rates are very high, if you can even find a room.

My husband and I go every year in March and love it. We come from Nebraska, so it's usually still pretty cold here, but Vegas is 70s & 80s. We haven't had any problems with rain or storms. We've been during March Madness and it was busy, but fun. I wouldn't say to specifically avoid it. (Just don't count on getting into ESPN Zone to watch a game, a lesson we learned the hard way...) Have fun!
