Vegans!?

What are the best options for vegans?

My parents are going to Disney soon, they are now taking my sister who is a vegan. I am trying to make meal reservations for them, and haven't found much info on vegan eating at WDW.

Anyone have any experience in this?

What restaurants would be the easiest for her to find a decent meal?
Which counter service spots have vegan choices?

Does anyone know the phone number to call for special diets? I was thinking of calling them for advice, too.

We went with my vegan cousins a few years ago, and all we did was note their dietary preferences on the reservations, and then mentioned it again at check-in. We were visited by chefs who walked them through buffet lines to point out dishes and/or made them special vegan dishes. In some cases, they ate better than those of us who were stuck with the menu did

CS was another story, though, and they had limited choices with those. They used snack credits and purchased fruit or other things they could eat when we couldn't find them anything appropriate in the CS we were at.

Search the dining reviews/trip reports. Recently a woman did a review of the trip she took with her vegan daughter. Very informative.
