I said beef soft but I should note that I am not talking about basic ground beef taco meat. I want steak tacos or fajita beef!
They also need to be soft. Hard tacos are just a mess and never worth the effort to me. They were one of those norms growing up in the northeast but I've lived in Texas for nearly 3 decades and it's rare for me to see anyone eating hard shell tacos here. Yea, they're sold in stores and on menus but even popular taco chains like Torchy's and local faves that specialize in street tacos are all about soft tacos.
