Good Morning!

I'll be in Disney in 5 days! Can't believe it!

We are staying at the Poly and I read about the chefs being able to make vegan tonga toast. I'm allergic to milk so this is super exciting for me!

Has anyone had it? What was the process you had to go through to get it? I read that you had to give the chef 24 hours advanced notice. How does one do that? I have a reservation for Kona Cafe on 12/14 and I would like to be able to get it there. Do I have to stop by there on 12/13?

I also could possibly get it at Captain Cooks. That's another option.

Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!!

I tried at Kona and chef Kim said they couldn't do it, the ingredients in the bread weren't vegan. he did however make me some amazing Mickey waffles!:goodvibes

OP are you truly vegan or just eat vegan because it means no dairy?

Pretty sure if you tell them no dairy they can give you a better answer.

Yeah, I don't care if it's vegan or just milk free, as long as I get to try it! :) I just read about the vegan one but I will definitely ask if they can do it just milk free.

Thanks for your help!

Yes asking for dairy free gives the chef a lot more choices than if you say vegan. As others posted one small minor ingredient in the bread can make it non vegan.

Also since its basically a french toast, eggs are a major component.
