VEA shuttle questions

After my forthcoming Paris sightseeing trip I will be flying home from Orly on my own so am going to get the VEA from Disneyland where I will be on the last morning. I have never done this before though so have a few questions which I hope you can help me with please.

Firstly, how reliable in terms of journey length are they? Is it safe to get on one that would appear to get to the airport on time or should I get one earlier than that to allow for problems such as traffic hold-ups, and if so, how much earlier?

How near to coach departure time can I turn up? I intent catching it from the DLH as that will be nearest to the park (I can use left-luggage there for free with my AP). Is there any likelihood of not being able to get on the coach because it is full up? I have my ticket already bought on-line but it is not for a specific time or departure point.

Does anyone know if the VEA stops at both terminals at Orly and if so, in which order?

Anything else I should know?

Never taken one but if I look at their site it shows the following pickups from DLP to Orly

Disneyland® Paris ==> Orly

  1. Disneyland Hotel
  2. Gare Routière
  3. Disney's Hotel New-York
  4. Disney's Hotel Cheyenne
  5. Disney's Hotel Santa Fe
  6. Disney's Hotel Sequoia Lodge
  7. Disney's Hotel Newport Bay Club
  8. Orly Ouest - Niveau 0 - Porte I
  9. Orly Sud - Gare Routière - Quai 2
So if you got on at DLH you'd be the first ones on

What time where you thinking of getting one and what time does your flight leave as that will help in calculating your journey time ? :)

Thank you Carrie, my flight is at 17.20 and recommended check in is two hours before. My electronic ticket states "no arrival time terminal info available" - helpful . Orly's own site doesn't even have Flybe on its list of standard boarding areas for different airlines so that is no help either.

I am already in France so will not be arriving there first to see where to go.

The VEA site suggests a departure at least 2 1/2 hours before check in time. I will be travelling on a Wednesday (different timetables for different days of the week) so I had been looking at the 12.30 from the DLH. I am hoping that mid-day traffic will not be quite so bad but is it ever good in Paris???

It is a very long time since I last flew from Orly and I can't remember much about it. Not knowing which terminal I need is worrying me, how far apart are they? Again, from their site and the timetable the other way round (Orly to DLP) I think that the coach will go back to West first and then South but I can't be sure.

I thought this would be the easy option but now I am not so sure....

Thank you for any help. :flower3:

I think the last time I was at Orly was in 2004 since then it's always been CDG even when we were going South.

From what I recall the terminals were a short bus ride apart, less than 5 minutes as we went from one to the other and back

Flybe is Orly Ouest according to the ADP site so that will be correct

Here's a plan of the terminals and it says there are navettes between them

You pick up the VEA at Paris-Orly Ouest : Niveau 0 - quai A - Porte I
comes from here http://www.aeroportsdeparis.fr/ADP/...mun/paris-orly-navette-shuttle-disneyland.htm

So it's always the last stop coming from DLP and the first stop going out towards DLP

Traffic should be ok at that time but it will take an hour at least according to OH -

I'd say 13.30 will be ample but if you want to be stress free go earlier
You will have a fair amount of time waiting in the airport but it's better that than getting stuck in traffic and racing against the clock :goodvibes

ps justed checked the Flybe site and it's Orly Ouest on there too

I think the last time I was at Orly was in 2004 since then it's always been CDG even when we were going South.

Well I've just worked out my last time was 1991!

Thanks for that, the links are very helpful, I should have looked at Flybe myself. :)

Now I just need to know how soon to arrive for the coach before departure time from Disneyland.
