VDH Questions for Purchasing

We live on the west coast so VDH and VGC were no brainers for us. We bought into VDH as soon as it was available. We could not afford VGC when it was first offered and always regretted it. However we contacted our guide when we got VDH and had him look out for direct points, thinking it would never happen. Well he came through and now we own there as well. It is great being Bicoastal DVC!
Omg maybe she wasnt supposed to tell me this but I have a way of extracting info from people I guess 😅😅 A little bird told me VGC was going to be on sale in February!!! Let's see if it will be on incentives or if she just means the guides can get it for you then she said "on sale" Maybe those trying decide between the two will be interested! @ClaraOswald

Reading all of this makes me think I need to buy a DVC West Coast Contract....

Not that I have been to DL in over a decade, and living in FL I have no plans to! But somehow, it just seems right to have a DVC on each coast!

Congratulations!
Thank you!!! Maybe the real boss move is to own one in every state! 🤣🤣

My wifey and I are officially new VDH DIRECT members! I hope I can meet you guys one day and thank you for helping me on our journey!

If you see us one day say hi 😀 I'll probably delete this in an hour bcuz im feeling kind of shy 🤣 But I couldn't resist the last photo for you guys 🤣🤣🤣
Uhh, very familiar looking. Did you guys live in SoCal in late 90’s thru 2010?

Me neither, what were they thinking 8 rooms??
When they built the hotel it’s all they could get done, but expanded very quickly!!

Ummm, I may have had an enormous stash, because I'm still going through it, and it's been a couple years now.

I might also bring some home when I visit family out of state.

I only use the grocery bags in the bathroom trash cans, I have the 13-gallon in the kitchen.

Ironically, you can buy small trash can bags, so I'm not quite sure if this actually helps overall, but at least there aren't wet plastic bags blowing into my leg in a storm, 🤢 so I've got that going for me.
Once I have to paper bag it i will decide if im purchasing or not 🤣🤣 I wish there was a better solution or maybe there is that i dont know about!

I started my younger self first real job in a grocery store. Paper bags were actually free and no limits, thicker & thinner ones, different sized, we doubled bagged too! Only plastics were the freezer bags for your ice creams!

(Was a pioneer when bag plastics arrived). “Paper or Plastic?”. Those were the days!
Im sure i will get used to it soon 😆

From your linked article: "The Hotel now featured 204 guest rooms and suites, an Olympic-size swimming pool, 17 distinctive shops, a cocktail lounge and several restaurants."

That is a crazy ratio of rooms to amenities!

Regular open sales of Grand Cali would be awesome news. We would be adding in 50 points June use year, the wife says 100, but either way very interested to go with our 200 resale points at VGC and 456 direct at VDH. It costs a ton of points for 2 bedrooms in most summers and occasional Christmas out there.

I dont think it will be open sales. I would bet they will just have points for sale come February and you will be required to buy a Feb UY. Guides that have list of people waiting will make calls and try to sell the points they bought back
