Yes, it was a very limited view of lake - we could see a part of it + Wilderness Lodge area and Epcot off in distance

We were on the very inside of the U looking across at other side

Yep we have had room xx05 and it was not our favorite. I always now request the outer C rooms. Both for larger living space and view we prefer.

Yep! We requested those ones after seeing your posts a few months back; apparently they were completely booked the night we checked in; said they might have availability to move the next day.

Unfortunately with all the stuff we had with the kids + grocery delivery & going to parks the next day; we ultimately decided to stay in the room. We were only there for 4 nights and at parks for 3 days till 10pm or later, so not in the room a whole lot anyways.

I have cabana 3 booked tomorrow, I’ll check out the layout. My understanding is this one is by the man pool/snack area. We will see… the CM was a bit confused when she booked it for me.

Cabana 3 is in front of sand bar at the main pool. Great location good sun. Cabana 2 is across the way behind the life guard stand. 1 and 4 are thru the gate at the leisure pool that’s rounds.

Disney's Contemporary Resort Refurbishment Expands to Include Main Tower and Skyway Bridge Closure​

Disney's Contemporary Resort is undergoing a multi-phase refurbishment running from September 2024 through late 2027. Work is taking place across several areas of the resort, including Bay Lake Tower, and the Main Tower.

Here's a breakdown of the specific impacts coming this spring.

Main Tower Exterior Maintenance

Exterior maintenance on the Main Tower begins March 23, 2026. This may affect views from various locations around the resort and could require alternate paths of travel at times. Construction activity may be visible or audible during daytime hours.

Bay Lake Tower Pool Area - Closed Through Early May

From January 26 through early May 2026, the following are temporarily closed for maintenance:

• Bay Cove Pool
• Cove Bar
• Water play area
• Whirlpool spa

The Main Pool, water play area, and whirlpool spa at the Contemporary's Main Tower remain open.

Bay Lake Tower Elevator Landing Repairs

Exterior elevator landing repairs at Bay Lake Tower are scheduled from late March through late May 2026.

Skyway Bridge - Weekday Closures​

From March 30 through May 1, 2026, the Skyway Bridge connecting Bay Lake Tower and the Main Tower will be closed Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm. It reopens each evening after 5 pm and is available all day on weekends. Alternate routes may be needed during weekday closures.
