VCAMNOW Personal Video Recorder -I am buying my son a computer for Christmas and thought this would go pretty good with it. Just wanted a little info on it before I bought it! My son is 7 so, I am not expecting too much. With 25% discount & free shipping it's on only $59.99...is this a pretty good deal???

Any info will be much appreciated...

I looked at the same one this morning at Target (on a price cut to 69.99 until mid-november, so your 59.99 price seems good). They also have another type -Vidster- on sale for 59.99. I was leaning toward this one because it has a viewing screen, the Vidster did not appear to have one, and I liked that you could make your own PVD's which my son could watch on his Video Now. I think that you can also put it on your computer - I suppose although I am not sure- that you could then burn a cd/dvd from there? The seperate PVD burning accesory/disc pack was 14.99 at Target.

I would also like to know anybodys experiences with this item. My son has been dying for a video camera for a year and I want to get him one but I don't want to spend a ton of money on one.

Thanks for that link. I was wondering about the Vidster. I guess I am still not sure after the one persons comments. I wonder how it compares with the video now one. I wish I were willing to spend $150+ to get a real one for my son but I really wanted to stay around $75 or so.

Check out target.com............they have a video camera for 79.99 that looks pretty good and has good reviews......from the reviews i read about vidster and vcamnow neither one of them seem to make quality videos.
