VB weather in December?

How is the temp? warm enough to swim?

The average high air temp in December is 75

The average low air temp is 53

The average ocean temp is 68

You're from upper NY so you might be ok with it on a warm day. 68 is pretty much my lower limit.

We went for a few days last December before heading over to the Boardwalk. The air temp was actually pretty warm when we were there - about 83 degrees. However, the ocean IMHO was quite cold - too cold for me to go in above mid-calf. The pool was nice and warm, room was wonderful, smores by the campfire were great, and staff was extremely friendly.
