VB twice in a summer - too much?

We're going with my in-laws first week of June. Now I'm thinking about booking VB again late July with my side of the family.

Does anyone think that is too much? (Both will be for three nights only.) My girls will be 4 and 7.

HH was booked July (Yep, waited too long to get some firm dates from my family. Tried to tell them...), but we could also do any of the WDW resorts. They all had availability, just we wouldn't do the four parks, only the water parks. I dunno what to book!

Thanks for any opinions!

We're from NJ. And happen to love the shore. A couple of three-day weekends for the whole summer??? Never too much. Go for it!!

2 trips....5 trips....never enough to me. No matter how hot it is at the beach, I am a happy camper. :sunny:

I'm with spiceycat, I think I'd waitlist for HH. If it doesn't come through ,ok, you have VB. If it does, you have a choice.

How does your side of fam feel about water parks versus a day at the beach? Some folks are happier than others about that "sand in your shorts" sensation, if ya know what I mean! What would your fam like better -- water park fun or coastal relaxation?

One nice thing about HH and VB -- especially for a 3 night stay -- there's less pressure to do-do-do, I'd think. Not that I don't have some relaxing days at WDW... but short beach trips can be so nice!

My side of the family would go for either VB or a WDW resort. I do have some old park hopper pluses that we could use for both TL and BB. And I guess we could even pool hop?
My Mom DOES NOT want to go to the four parks again. She has burn out if you could imagine! (And I've only taken her a few times in recent years...)

My Mom was worried that my girls would find it boring to go back to VB again in such a short time. I'm not sure about that, thus I was wondering if everyone thought two short trips twice in a summer there would be too much.

We're definitely water people (especially my Mom and my oldest). We go to our neighborhood pool every day it is not raining during the summer. :sunny:

July in VB would be too hot for me.

you can't get on the wait list for HH?

We were there last July and the weather was gorgeous. There's a huge difference between standing in lines at the parks in central Florida and playing in the water with the onshore breezes cooling you. For that matter I would speculate that VB, being oceanfront, may be a more comfortable spot than HH.
As for two three-day visits being too much? Not a chance. As far as I'm concerned three days is too short a visit. I could stay there a month NO PROBLEM

I don't think 2 visits is too much.

Summer is nice down here. There is a nice breeze coming off the ocean.

It it rains, it is usually a typical afternoon Florida thunderstorm that lasts maybe 20 minutes. That is when we go play checkers in the Green Cabin Room.

They will have lots of activities scheduled.

Go for it!

I think we're now leaning towards SSR, although I'm still not so sure.
My Mom is so worried the girls won't be excited going again after going with my in-laws earlier in the summer.
I'm thinking we're gonna hang out at SSR and do both the water parks and some resort meals.

Hey floridafam!
