Well, I'm home and I'm sad! It was a wonderful trip to VB and I wish I was still there! The weather was incredible, our rooms were clean and ready when we checked in. We had 2 OVIR that were connecting (2412 & 2413) The rooms were in great shape and I just love being in the main building. The resort was not too crowded when we arrived on Monday and there were even fewer people there on Tuesday & Wednesday. By Thursday night the crowd began to pick up and when we checked out on Saturday - I asked if they were full and the CM said they were totally booked for the next 3 days. Our two DS (10 &6) did quite a few activities, but our DD 13 didn't find much she was interested in. The only activity she wanted to do was cancelled because a CM called in sick! DS10 did the archery on Wednesday (with 3 other kids) and signed up again for Friday's archery session and there were 32 kids that day!!!!!!! We had lunch one day on the porch of the Green Cabin Room - that was great. We had dinner one night at Shutters - it was fine. We also ate at Capt. Hirams (pretty good), Lobster Shanty (blah) and the Ocean Grille (wonderful). The CMs were terrific (with the exception of one cranky life guard). I was surprised at the number of "seasoned" CMs in the recreation department. Not the young 20 somethings that I see at HH. We did go to MNSSHP on Tuesday night. It was our first time for that and we enjoyed it, but don't know that I would take a day off of our beach vacation to do that again! The two hour drive to WDW sure seemed to take an eternity (especially at midnight). If you've never been to VB and you need a relaxing vacation - I certainly recommend you give it a try. We haven't been in four years - and had forgotten what a wonderful trip it was!
