VB shipping?

Has anyone ever shipped beach chairs to VB prior to arrival? Was wondering if anybody has ever done this? Is it better to ship, rent or buy cheapy beach stuff after arrival?
 
I have never done it, but a few years ago, a CM there told us stories about people shipping Christmas trees and decorations back and forth.
