Thanks everyone. Sand Pumping does/did create a lot of controversy. Here is a PDF Emergency Order document from the Florida DEP. Note pages 13 and 14. This gives some leeway in making limited dune and other repairs.
Hurricane Jeanne Emergency Order Desperado Did you not mention you like stopping at Boppy's Market for Ice Cream? Boppy's is still standing as is the Pizza Shop.
msdis AIA is now open South of Sebastian Inlet,US1 now open over the St Sebastian River south of Barefoot Bay. The Wabasso/Orchid Island Causeway is open as well. So you should have no problem coming down either way as well as 95 from Melbourne. Note most public Beach Accesses in the area are closed from the Southside of the Inlet to South of the Resort. BethThe picture was taken around high tide. Maistre Gracey We still don't know who took the Wabasso toilet as a souvenier.

I heard that is the problem. They are restoring the insides of the units -- for the second time -- and having a tougher time coping with double-damage. I know I stayed at a hotel in AC after a minor hurricane/storm and the carpet was sopping wet on an upper level room on the bay in AC. I can't imagine what happened with the storms Vero had and the resort being right on the ocean. The water is forced through the tiniest openings in the window and door frames.
