VB for viewing the shuttle

Hi
Will will be staying at VB next week 9/5-9/8 and may get to see the shuttle launch, we were wondering how the view is from VB and if
anyone has done this before.

Many have reported viewing launches from VB.... the view while standing on the beach should be FANTASTIC!!

...Consider that we are able to see the launches from over here in Tampa - so views from the Treasure Coast beaches are that much better...

My daughter watched the launch in July from the Beach. She said that the DJ's actually had a countdown.

The rest of us drove up to Patrick AFB where you could see the launch pad in the distance. It was a little hazy so we didn't know which one they were using until blast off.

If time permitted, we would have driven a little further north.

There's also a bridge going over the causeway (Indian River?) near Satellite Beach that probably would have good viewing as long as the cloud cover wasn't too thick. We saw a lot of people there.

edited to add: I believe the Bridge was over the Indian River.
