VB - connecting OVIRs?

We're hoping to book VB for April 09 (third week). Because there are 6 of us, we always get a 2BR. DH would love to have an OV though. Is it possible to get connecting OVIRs? Of course, this assumes there is availability!

There are OVIR that connect. We've had them, didn't request them, used them. We had DCuz and her DD with us. Another time, we also had 2 OVIR's reserved, but didn't get the connecting ones, just ones that were nearby each other. It's too bad that they aren't a "type" of reservation.

The corner connecting rooms are AMAZING! We had one once....it was triple the size of a normal room. It's hard to describe....It was basically a huge L-shape. You entered into this REALLY big entrance way...must have been 15 feet long, that had the little kitchen area and a sofa, then around the corner were the two beds. You could see the door to the connecting room in the little hallway area by the kitchenette.

Sounds perfect. But such a tease - my luck with requests is abysmal.

We had 2319 and 2320 connecting OVIR in May. Wonderful view.

The only draw back was a palm tree that blocked part of the view from one of the rooms. Also, these rooms had the closed balconies so if you prefer the open rail balconies you would want to request other rooms.

We have requested connecting OVIR twice on visits to Vero Beach. Both times we were told it was a request but not a guarantee - but checked in and were given the connecting room without any problems. We usually go in Oct. so it's not at 100% occupancy. Once we requested connecting rooms but cancelled one of the rooms about 5 months before our visit and we were still in a room which would have connected to another one.

Two years ago we requested and received a pair of connecting OVIR. I was a bit worried about this because it is a request not room type and therefore not guaranteed.

I think there a fairly decent number of connecting rooms in the Inn so it won't be too difficult to get one. There were 7 pairs of connecting OVIR on the 4th floor. Someone did post a pic of a different floor and I did see some there as well.
