VB Beach Cottage during Easter Week

Just a couple of quick questions to my fellow DVC Disers.

1) How many Beach Cottages are there at Vero Beach?

2) What is the likelihood of getting one at the 7 month window for Easter Week (April 5-10)?

I'm trying to plan alternatives if this doesn't pan out. Like HHI Grand Villa during those times instead.

There are only 6 Beach Cottages and they are wonderful!!!

That said, I think you will be very lucky to get one for Easter Week (Sun - Thur) a 7 months. I don't have any experience for that time but that would be my best guess.

How about a 2 bedroom and a studio?

Don't know...but I will after Nov 15ht...taken the fam down. So we will see.

Easter week is high season and I believe it would be near to impossible to reserve one of the 6 beach cottages at the 7 month window. Sorry....

I really have only heard of non-VB owners reserving a BC during a non-holiday Fall/early winter week or possibly during a weekend.

jcodespoti, did you reserve after 7 months or before?

I can tell you first hand don't expect a cottage at 7 months during holiday times. I tried to book one for Memorial Day weekend at 11 months and was put on a wait list. Finally got most of the days but had to rearrange my WDW part of the trip. The cottages go at the 11 month window unless it is a very slow time.

HH has only 5 GVs and Easter is also a popular time at that resort.

Good luck - but it might be wise to have an alternate plan.

I booked at 7-MW. Had no problem either. I was on the wait list for only a week or so. We have a Sunday-Saturday reservation.

Is there anywhere where we can see how many GVs are at each resort that has them?

Also, a quick timing question. I'm trying to book for April 5th to the 10th. My 7mo window is in Sept, but do I call on the 5th or 6th? I always get mixed up with that and I'd hate to call a day late just to miss it.

Sept 5th is the first day to call and now that you can add all the days at one time, it makes it much easier. I am not sure how many GV there are at each, but OKW and SSR have the most. I would think BWV is next. BC has none. VB and HH have very few. Good luck with your reservation.
