Hi folks. I need disboards expertise. In July my wife, son, and I are headed to the world for 8 nights on points. My parents are joining us for the last 5 nights of that stay, and we're moving into a 2 bedroom for that portion of the stay. Presently, all five of us live under one roof, and we all have the IDs that show the same address. By the time the vacation arrives, we should be living in two separate houses, but will still have the old IDs showing the same address. My question is this:

Given that technically we are all living under one address, I know my parents are eligible for the annual pass DVC discount. Is it worth it for a 6 day visit? We definitely want park hopping, and they most likely will not be back in the span of the year to follow.

Tied to this question is, do DVCers staying on points still get a discount on length of stay passes? And is that for members staying on points, or anyone staying on points? In other words, if that discount still exists, are my parents entitled to get the discount?

I know there is also a discount for buying tickets in advance online, so that's the third option.

Any thoughts? Thanks so much.

The length of stay (old UPH/Ultimate Park Hopper) pass no longer exists. The only DVC discount on admission to the 4 major parks is for AP/PAP.

You have to do the math yourself on best value - MYW tickets for 6 days vs an annual pass. It really does depend on your needs/touring plans for the 6 days.

Off the top of my head, I'd say that it's probably close (AP vs 6 Day MYW bought in advance from a discount broker) for a 6 day visit if you go into the parks all 6 days and do not visit PI, DQ or one of the waterparks. If you plan to spend any time in one of the "plus option attractions", you are probably better off with some type of MYW pass.

Best wishes -
