Various Campground Questions

Hi Campers. Years ago, DH & I were RVers & we often stayed in the Disney area & sometimes in Ft. Wilderness Campground for the winter = snowbirds.

No longer have an RV & now we are considering a couple of winter months at Ft. Wilderness. However, we don't want to buy a truck for hauling & we no longer want to haul the rig from & to Indiana. So, does anyone know if there is a secure & reliable storage company in the Disney area that will transport rigs to & from the campground?

If not, is there another type of local company that does such? Would be nice to have setup/take down service too, but not necessary.

Re: cable at the Preferred sites - is it the same as at the resorts, which is lousy. Or is it "real" cable with much more variety of channel choices? We used our Direct TV dish in the past & prefer not to get into that any more. But definitely would not want to pay extra for a Preferred site if the cable is lousy.

Re: Ressies - For longer stays (month & more) is there a way around the only 2 weeks ressies? If not, are the campers required to move spots every 2 weeks?

Re: Price - Is there a price break for monthly rental during the winter season?

Thanks in advance for you help.

Don't know of any company that does this, but if you check on my web page (link below) there are a couple of companies that rent & deliver RV to FW. They may know of someone, or may do it themselves

Same lousy cable

Can book up to 30 days, and can "link" multiple reservations. You have to check back in every reservation, but usually won't have to move sites.

Nope. They used to have a "Winter Settlers Rate", but that went away a few years ago

Ditto what Tim says.

The max ressie is 30 days and as long as your ressies are the same level you wont have to move (30 day Full then 30 day Full means no move).

The question of storage and setup has been asked here before if you search but no one does it. No discounts for long term rentals other than what is available for AAA or AP.
