Vancouver hotel tips?

Hi all , family of 5 (2 adults) looking for reasonably priced hotel prior to Alaska cruise. Guessing won’t be anywhere near the port given the premium that appears to demand. Something clean , comfortable, safe, and close to Vancouver family attractions would be ideal, even if not close to port. Figure morning of cruise just do a rideshare. Thanks for any feedback

Auberge Vancouver is still walkable to the port and a lot cheaper than the Pan Pacific and the Fairmont Waterfront.

We just stayed at the Westin Bayshore - it wasn’t cheap, but I did check daily and snagged a decent rate. Worth it for the location and amenities!
