Value vs. Moderate resort

I've never stayed at a Moderate resort before and wondered if it was worth the extra cost. Do you actually get more since you're paying more? Nicer rooms, more amenities?

I stayed at the All Star Music resort about 5 years ago and it was fun. Just not sure if my husband would like it.

Thanks in advance!

My main pet-peeve with the values is that the bus ride to the parks seems long! :moped: Except for POFQ the moderates have sit-down restaurants as well as food courts. Now my sister would tell you that she hates that the values have no roofs on their bus-stops. She wants to be in the shade every chance she gets! Hope this helps and have a wonderful trip!

How would you compare the two is you don't use the buses/Disney transportation? DH likes to drive to the parks because he hates "waiting" even if it's 10 minutes for a bus, etc.

water slide, less "disney in your face," the themeing is more nicer, sit down restaurant, water sports, rental bikes, the bus stops at the parks are not the very last one, and towels at the pool.

When I take my DGDs (7 + 10) we stay at a value. The over the top themeing and the food courts suit the girls just fine. However, if it's a trip with me and DH, then we stay Moderate (and once Deluxe). There's a big difference in the feel of the resort and lots more amenities and nice pools. DH would rather stay offsite than at a value.
