Hi there all,

This is my first post on this site. I have been looking into Condo and Vacation Home rentals in the Orlando area, and came across a vendor called 'Value Vacation Villas'.... they seem to offer the same accomodations as other vendors (Windsor Palms for Condos) but their prices seem to be a whole lot less. They give alot of promises about guarantees and rock solid promises, but not much substance to back it up.

I was wondering if anyone here has ever heard of these guys and if anyone has actually used them to arrange accomodations.

Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

their site is http://www.value-villas.com/

Thanks,

Mike in the Maritimes

Welcome to the Dis!!

Don't forget to stop by the Canadian Board and say hello! There's not too many Cdn's here;)...and even fewer Maritimers:)...and we all will know where "Freddy Beach " is;)

That being said, you'll get lots of get suggestions/websites to look at... we've rented from an owner at www.vrbo.com

Good luck, and let us know what you find:)

Ditto to what MBB said - vrbo.com. Renting direct from an owner is a good way to go. Check my www page below for an example.

We used them in February for a condo at Windsor Palms and had no problems with them. We rented a 2 bedroom condo for $49 a night and were upgraded to a 3 bedroom for the same price! If you have any questions, PM me. And welcome to the Dis!

hey, i looked at this site and the rates are awesome but they have no phone number to call and ask questions and that makes me a bit uncomfy...

I never did get a phone number, but I E-mailed them many times with questions and received replies within a day or so.

Hi,
I think you are seeing the fall out from the tremendous building surge the last 4 years. Renting is getting harder because of the huge number of units available.

We owned and sold a 7 bedroom home in Emerald Island, so we have some experience in this market.

EI is a very very nice development that is about 4 minutes closer to Disney than WP. EI is smaller and the club house is not as large. Pool and spa are very nice.

There have been thousands of new homes and condos built and the market is spread very thin, so I think owners are looking to rent any way they can to meet costs.

Here are a few questions for the super cheap condos.
1. King or queens in the master?....I would insist on Kings.
2. TV in all bedrooms?
3. VCR and DVD in the living room?
4. Furniture will be basic Florida in most of the cheap condos.

If you go to www.vrbo.com and look at some of the owners you will find a lot of upgraded furniture and some little extras like free long distance anywhere in the world.
I would also look at www.villadirect.com for their prices. They have a lot of properties and are have a great rep..you can also see the unit you are renting and check for amenities....

$49 to 79 is a great rate for a condo...and anything in EI or WP will be new and nice....somtimes for just a few more bucks you can get some nice extras and very nice furnishings...

Good Luck...Ted

Thanks for the input guys. This is very valuable information.
