Value room at AKL

Hi anyone that has stayed at the AKL value rooms,What is the difference in this verses the standard room? I booked a 2 bed in Feb ,We are not worried about the view ,is this room in a basement somewhere? lol,Why is it such a value?Thanks

The Values only exist in Jambo House and will be on the 5th floor. The Values are about 3 feet shorter and have a smaller balcony than the other units in Jambo House. The 1 and 2 bedroom values don't have the sleeper chair so the occupancy is one less than the other 1 & 2 bedroom units at AKV.

We will be staying in a one bedroom value for the first time this May. Hubby and I will be celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary so I'm hoping that we will get a savannah view.

Oh, value rooms-yech, pooey Actually, IMHO, value rooms at AKV are DVC's best kept secret (but not for long, I'm afraid, and DH won't let me buy more points so....) I've stayed in 2 different value studios, staying again in one the first week of May, and am so pleased that my waitlist just came through for one again in October. I've always gotten pool view-once, I switched from a standard view to a value, and thought my view was nicer from the value studio than it had been in the standard.

We stayed in one last August 5010 & 5012 I think. It was a handicapped pool view. It is smaller that the other 2 bed rooms. I believe in the alue 40% pool 40% savanah 20% parking lot. It was big enough for us 4 adults 2 kids. I think it would be crowded if you were trying to fit 8 in there, but for us it worked no problem. With the couch open you did not have a lot of room. We will definitely use them again when we are trying to stretch points for a longer stay.

I've a value studio reservation for 2 nights in Sept. until my DH comes and we move to concierge. We've been lucky with views, 3 stays have had a savannah view and 2 stays a pool view. I do like the common animal viewing areas in Jambo. Our only "for money" stay at AKL had a parking lot view, but I love staying at Jambo, so it was still a great stay!

We're in a value 1 BR right now. Pool view. More than enought room for the 2 of us. Seems like a great value.

we stayed in a 2br value in Oct last year. we had a savanna view and really enjoyed it! plus the 2br was only 23 points per night!
