Anyone know why there is no availability for value resorts Jan. 27- Feb. 3? This is usually a low crowd time.

Thanks

Cheerleading groups often stay at values in winter and book up a lot of rooms. Also, there are really no low crowd times anymore.

There are lots of rooms out of circulation due to construction right now. I’ve read on here maybe 1500 rooms? I know Pop, CBR and CSR are involved. I think there may also be groups that go during that time too. We are going that week and CBR has been priced less than the values in my searches.

That week is expected to be quite low. On weekdays, crowd levels of 2 and 3 are expected at all parks (though not every park every day of course)

I've been in late January and early February in recent years and encountered moderate crowds, not low crowds. Fastpasses were definitely needed for the more popular rides, and sometimes walkways could get crowded. The only truly low crowds I've seen at Disney were in January 2009, but that was the depths of the recession. Crowd calendar numbers are "relative" and their future projections are not too reliable.

I have found them to be pretty accurate. And of course low crowds don’t mean everything is walk on. Our last family trip was in 2012 and the crowd calendar was spot on. I know things have changed since then, but that week in January will still be lower than most. With a good touring plan, we won’t be waiting in lines. The only wild card is how many Irma reschedules hit that week. Many of them seemed to hit later in fall though.

Using my touring plans, we didn't wait in many lines even on Easter weekend. But that doesn't make it low crowd. Actually, low crowds did use to mean that things were pretty much walk-on. We walked onto Soarin' & other top tiers midday in January 2009. People who haven't visited in years might not be aware of how much things have changed. That's why I was trying to warn the OP.

POP demand is up with the new rooms and queen beds.
POP has rooms out of service for renovations.
Because POP has added queens, many who stayed at moderate for that reason, will move to POP.
Part of CBR is now gone for good and CSR has buildings out of service for renovation.
Port Orleans and AoA have added dogs so many moved out of those, or won't book those.

AllStars are heavily utilized for groups.
That second weekend is a big National Dance Competition.
There are still plenty of BTG groups at Disney into February.

Second weekend is Super Bowl weekend, and Disney seems to perk up those days
.... ever since it was a "thing" that Disney was empty that weekend.
In midst of new Epcot Arts Festival.

I had week before that booked with general discount.
The minute AP discounts came out I tried to get a room for my week,
the week you are looking at and the next week.
NOTHING at POP. ASSp was $20 cheaper but I stayed with POP.
Obviously they are having no trouble filling rooms.
