Value Resorts and Inside Staterooms? Bah Humbug! 30 days of Disney fun! 02/10 Day 30

Great pix of Vienna Karin!!!! The rest stop food looks wonderful ,our rest stops are usually Burgher King type places ..No fancy delish meals like Tom's !!!!
Get Packing Lady !!!!:lmao:

Guess a visit to Vienna is in store ;)! There are beautiful wedding venues here too, but I guess you better stick with Italy! :lmao:

I was so surprised they offered cupcakes and macaroons! They are not very common here. I was instantly thinking of you when I saw them. :goodvibes

The ferris wheel is pretty old. It was opened in 1897 to celebrate the 50 year reign of emperor Franz Josef. It HAS BEEN renovated a few times in the meantime, but they stick pretty much to the original design.
It really is a Viennese landmark.

Lol oh gosh no, no more venues  We will get round to doing more European countries soon, just not done with Disney yet :)

You have got me wanting a macaroon so bad now, might have to treat myself to one next time I am down Oxford St

I forgot to ask, what time did you score for your ADR at CRT?

Karin, Vienna is beautiful. Thank you for sharing those wonderful photos with us. I'm glad you are having with where you will stay with your students. I can't believe how close you are. Are you going to do live updates while you are gone?

I had to LOL when I read about you saying what you are going to do in a week's time. Last week when we went to lunch in Vienna I told them all that "that time next week I'll order strawberries and cream for breakfast at Olivia's Cafe"! :rotfl2: Great minds think alike, Kelly!!! :thumbsup2
:rotfl2:speaking of which.... this time next week, I'll be at the Magic Kingdom!!!!

Loved the pictures of vienna, Austria really looks like a beautiful place.

Yay packing!!! :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

Thanks for the update on Vienna - fabulous! At the Stephansdome have you gone on the catacombs tour? The guy leading it is so funny (or at least the ones I've gotten). They say it is 'dirty and spooky' down there and they crack me up when they say this in their Austrian accent :)

that quiche.....is the most beautiful quiche i have ever laid my eyes on *drools*

Beautiful pictures of Vienna, Karin. And Tom's meat dish looks really good.. I love horseradish! And only three more days!!!!! :cool1::cool1: You must be going crazy! I know I would be. ;)

Wow, I am hungry once again. I need to eat a bowl of icecream when reading your updates! LOL!

Okay, before I start, there is one thing I want to tell you all!

WE LEAVE TOMORROW!!!!! :woohoo: :yay: :woohoo:

Sorry I haven't posted much these last two days, but I was busy running errands to pick up some more things we need to bring.
We actually started sorting through Tom's wardrobe yesterday, to pick out a few things he needs to pack! :thumbsup2 Means, I am starting the packing process early this year! :rotfl2:

Your Vienna pics are amazing! What a beautiful city.

But I have to ask you one question...and I hope it's not offensive! Tom's Austrian potato salad looks just like a dish my grandmother used to call German potato salad. Is there a difference? :confused3

I know, touchy subject!

I never cared for German potato salad, but that pic of Tom's Austrian salad looks great!

Thank you!

No problem asking about the difference in Austrian and German pototo salad! :lmao:
German potato salad is a bit on the sweet side.
Austrian potato salad uses stock for the potatoes to soak up and then some good vinegar to give it taste. That gives it a special hearty meaty taste. (There is usually very finely diced red onion and sweet and sour pickled gurkins mixed in)
It is much more vinegar based than most of the American dressings.

Thank you! Rest stop food has improved a lot in Austria. It is not on the cheap side, but as long as they deliver some delicious food I am willing to pay for it! ;)

Stefy, once you and Dave are settled in there is lots of time to do weekend trips around Europe! :thumbsup2

We actually got an 8am ADR at CRT which is exactly what I wanted since we have lunch at Bubba Gump's. :goodvibes

Karin, Vienna is beautiful. Thank you for sharing those wonderful photos with us. I'm glad you are having with where you will stay with your students. I can't believe how close you are. Are you going to do live updates while you are gone?

Thanks, Kathy! I love doing a bit of advertising for beautiful good old Europe ;) and especially my home country! :rotfl2:

You bet I am going to update live, just not doing a full trip report - more like highlights of the days with lots of photos! :goodvibes
Can you believe that around this time tomorrow we will have breakfast before we leave for the airport! Our plane leaves at 10.30 -I can check in online for the trip to Frankfurt in around 3 hours!!!!! :cloud9:

:rotfl2:speaking of which.... this time next week, I'll be at the Magic Kingdom!!!!

Loved the pictures of vienna, Austria really looks like a beautiful place.

Yay packing!!! :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

This time next week we will be sleeping in after EMH at Epcot, before we head to the Animal Kingdom!

Glad you liked the photos of Vienna! :goodvibes You need to come and see for yourself one day! ;)

Packing is on my to do list for today! :thumbsup2

Thanks for the update on Vienna - fabulous! At the Stephansdome have you gone on the catacombs tour? The guy leading it is so funny (or at least the ones I've gotten). They say it is 'dirty and spooky' down there and they crack me up when they say this in their Austrian accent :)

I am impressed you used the correct term - Stephansdome! No, we didn't do any tours at the dome - it was packed there and I can only tolerate that at WDW, :rotfl2:
I usually do the catacombs tour at the Michaelerkirche, which used to be the burial site of the simple folk - and I can tell you this one is DARK and spooky!

that quiche.....is the most beautiful quiche i have ever laid my eyes on *drools*

Come and visit France, Yuki, their quiche is the BEST!!!! But this one was good as well, :thumbsup2!

Beautiful pictures of Vienna, Karin. And Tom's meat dish looks really good.. I love horseradish! And only three more days!!!!! :cool1::cool1: You must be going crazy! I know I would be. ;)

Thank you! Tom's dish was to die for - and the horseradish really hit through - some bites were real HOT!! :thumbsup2
I am nearly all set for packing today - I just need to go and have my hair cut (not too much though, as Tom is getting a convertable and I need to be able to tie my hair together :lmao:) and pick up a few more items before I want to do the packing this afternoon - wish me luck! :goodvibes

Wow, I am hungry once again. I need to eat a bowl of icecream when reading your updates! LOL!

Sorry for making you hungry again, Jen! :flower3: But the bowl of icecream you need to have while reading sounds VERY good to me! :thumbsup2

Day 26 plans look great! :thumbsup2

I can't wait to hear your thoughts on Sanaa, especially since we are canceling our ADR there. :sad2: I could only get an ADR for lunch and with MK closing early that day I didn't want to have to leave the park after only a few hours.
