When all gets back to normal around here, I have to post my trip report. Lots of revelations on this trip..... I don't care if I have to stay in the cheapiest deluxe room overlooking the highway and bus stop! We really missed the comfort of a deluxe this weekend!Even my $$$minded DH doesn't want to go back to WDW any time soon. Too much running around, too much rain...I personally loved POP, but couldn't "relax" there. Can't really explain it...

Also realized that we are half day park people. I mean half day and that's it!!!Either in the morning or evening, but not both. Really missed the pool/down time (it was cold and rainy)...got to get back to my hectic life now (homework, sick child and classes tonignt)!!!!

Welcome back, susy, and I'm sorry to hear your DS is sick :( I hope he's all better soon.

My DH is the same way now. He wouldn't even consider a moderate resort for our stay after our cruise this summer! So you didn't really care for PC?? Out of all the values, that would be my first choice, I think the theming looks pretty cool. But I understand what you're saying about not being able to enjoy any down time there. For our trip this summer, it's going to be ALL down time, since it'll be immediately following our cruise and we don't plan on going to any of the parks. I'm glad DH insisted on a deluxe, and specifically the Polynesian.

Let us know when you've posted your trip report, I'd love to read it! :sunny:

I did really, really LOVE PC!!!! In a perfect world, that is... if DS were healthy and we had beautiful weather, it would have been great. It was really a nice place and had great bus service. Then again, if I were at a deluxe and DS had gotten sick and it rained all day it probably would have been just as miserable....:(

Even though I love CBR or would definitely stay at any other moderate or value, it's so nice to have the interior hallways of a deluxe when it's raining. On my last trip, I was never so happy to be at AKL with all the torrential rainfalls we had. It was nice to be able to walk around and not get drenched. I would not have been happy on that trip to be at CBR or any resort that you needed to go outside to get to the food court, gift shop, etc..

Once you've gone Deluxe you get used to all of those little things that make your trip easier...We loved P.C. too, we went last weekend to get our lanyards and pins and for one night it was fine...I feel like I'm on vacation when at a deluxe. I can just sit and remember what it's like being at The Beach Club, Storm-along-Bay is sooo wonderful, I bet your DS would probably love it there....We go every year in the summer time and then stay on the loop{the monorail loop} at Christmas for the MVMCP. There is nothing like staying in the Tower in The Contemporary Resort at Christmas time...

We would rather go less often and stay at a Deluxe for 3 nights if possible, that's the longest trips we ever take though....DH doesn't get a regular vacation week, we have to go on the 3 day weekends...:chat: :chat:

I am going to try to swing a deluxe for our next trip. I really love WL . I liked the fact that there is so much to do there-FW, rent boats, bikes, boat to Mk and Contemp, Whispering canyon.....everything!

We'll be waiting on you Susy, Just come on over and visit with us anytime on the Like the Phoenix, out of the ashes arises THE NEWEST WL FAQ! (Part 3)
