Value: ASMu, ASMo or Pop in Aug 08?

I'm thinking of a quick, budget type trip to WDW for me and my 13yo son. Early August 08 before we go back to school. Looking at 3 nights, doing only MK and MGM (or whatever it is called now) with 2 day hoppers. Maybe a quick visit to Epcot for Illuminations.

Which hotel? Music, Movies or Pop? If they are all equal, which one has the quicker bus to MK? Our first visit to WDW was during Spring Break, I do not want that crowd experience. Is early Aug during the week ok?

Last March we were at POR, loved that place, but this trip is super budget!

For a value, I'd pick ASSp - even tho you didn't list it! It is the first pick-up and drop-off for the All Stars, and has been newly renovated, including the pool area.

Thanks... We are not total sports people, but if the bus is faster, I will go for it!

We won't really be spending much time in the rooms so themes don't really matter.

I have stayed at Movie's and Pop. Of the 2 I much preferred Movies. The buses were far superior to Pop in my opinion. I have heard complaint about the shared bus system with the All Star resorts. This was not an issue during our stay. I think out of 7 days maybe twice the bus dropped off at all 3 resorts. Which really took no time at all. The food court was also less crowded at Movie's.
