I'm trying to help my nephew plan an Oct trip, they're hopping on our week. I'm out of touch as to the room options for partys of 6 at a Value or Mod. Doesn't Pop Cent have some sort larger units? Are there Mods that hold 6 or as we looking at 2 connecting rooms?

Thanks in advance,

I believe the only values that hold 6 are the suites at Art of Animation & AllStar Music. I believe POR the moderate only holds 5 depending on age of children. There's threads on the board for all 3 resorts. Hopefully this helps a little.

Eeyore's My Favorite is correct. AoA and ASMu are the only values that have family suites that can accommodate 6. The AB section of POR has a max of 5.

Also the cabins at Fort Wilderness can be booked for 6. Otherwise family suites at AoA or AsMu or connecting rooms.

The Swan and Dolphin also have guaranteed connecting rooms and they usually run a special with the second room at a good discount. Check their special offers page because they also offer discounts on the first room for nurses, teachers, government workers, AAA, seniors, etc. Be aware that they charge $17 mandatory resort fee per room and $15 if you have a car.

Also DVC points can be rented for a one bedroom, which usually sleeps 8.

Options - Family Suite at AoA or ASMu. Two regular rooms at any value or mod (connecting will not be guaranteed). Cabins at Ft. Wilderness. Jr. Suite at CSR. 2-bedroom Villa at a DVC - OKW and SSR will be most affordable (1 bedrooms cannot hold 8).

I know connecting rooms are not guaranteed , but they will more than likely accommodate you . In 7 trips , I have always gotten connecting rooms with my sister , with no problems . And it's nice to have the extra bathroom - rather than squeeze 5 people in one room with one bathroom.

Thanks for all the info, I was hoping they could stay together at a reasonable rate, looks like they have some choices to make.
