Value Amentities POP vs. ASMo

I just read on another thread that the POP has amentities that the other value resorts does not have, like mickey soaps and things like that what else? My DD4 would of really liked to go in her bathroom and find mickey soaps, ohwell. Does anyone know anything about the differences between the value resorts.

I have stayed at POP and Allstar Music each 4 times, and I prefer POP.

In addition to the Mickey soaps, Pop has MIckey shampoo. It also has a little shelf over the sink to put items on, Music does not. Pop has a larger t.v., and it is newer. I love the themes in the main bldg and the food court has better desserts. If you drink, there is a nicer bar out by the pool.

Parking at ALstars is better and you do not have to walk as far to your room from the lot.

I did not take the buses, but I think POP has it's own buses, while all three Allstars share, so I have heard that waiting is longer.

I like POP's main pool better than music and they have music playing outside the pool, I don't think they do at Allstar Music.

I think that both have irons and iron boards in the rooms, and both have safes.

I guess I just like the feel of POP better, and it is closer to all of the parks, except for Animal Kingdom, and DTD. Plus POP is in a differenct county, so the hotel tax is lower.

If I missed anything, I am sure someone else will cover it.

I've stayed at both and I thought ASMo did have the Mickey soaps when I was there. I liked them both. POP is a larger, more spread out resort. I loved the theming of it though and it did have a really good food court. If I had to choose, I'd probably pick POP again. I did love the frozen Coke. Had one every day by the pool. Do the other resorts have that also?

It's my understanding that all the All Stars have the soap, shampoo dispensers in the showers, instead of everything in the individual Mickey bottles. Just stayed at Pop for one night, and it was the same Mickey toiletries as we got at AKL.

And... You won't find CMs dancing the "Hustle." They do that at 6:30pm at the Food Court.

Are you all referring to the square bars of Mickey soap that are wrapped in black paper?? We had tons of them in our room at ASMo this past week. There was the soap/shampoo dispenser in the shower--we didn't use it though. It was kinda "grody" looking HA HA how old is THAT word?? No other toiletries.

Also, there was a hair dryer in our room. I was originally told there weren't dryers there so I lugged mine--didn't need to afterall. Iron also. There was a safe that had a key----if you lost the key it would be $35. It was a really small safe but worked out fine for my phone and Ipod.

We got Mickey facial soap at ASMo last year, no shampoo or big bars of soap though. Trying Pop this year for the first time, we'll see how it goes....we really did enjoy ASMo though!
