Valuable item in your collection question

Suppose you have a collection that you are really serious about completing. You have a piece of the collection that is sought after by many people and if you sell it, you would make a $40 profit, maybe more, but the chances of you ever having that piece again are slim, at least not without paying through the nose for it yourself.

Would you sell it and have that hole in your collection, or concern yourself more with having the complete collection and not making a profit?

No way would I get rid of it, unless it was a life threatening situation.

I'm a completionist, so I would not sell it.
