Val's Journal (comments welcome)

Hey Val!

How exciting to get behind the wheel again! Before you know it, you'll be :moped: . Woohoo!:teeth:

I'm sorry to hear that your DS is sick. I hope that the doctor is able to get you some answers and some medication to help alleviate his symptoms.

Hey! A weekend away sounds like so much fun! I hope you have a great time to relax and unwind.:cloud9:

Take care Val!

Good for you that you are relearning how to drive. It will be freeing for you! Hope your son is feeling better soon. Maybe with the weather change it is allergies that causes a drip that causes a cough when he tries to lie down. Good luck with all that. It is frustrating.

Have a nice weekend.

Hi Val,

You should be very proud of yourself for learning to drive again. That will be so freeing for you.

I hope you get some much needed rest. Zyrtec is a great drug. We started Katie on it a month ago, and it has really made a difference.

Have a good day,
Beth

 I'm leaving in an hour or two. Be back on Sunday. Just wanted to stop by and say goodbye to everyone.

 Hey there Tracy! I'm back. Thanks for checking in :D .

The trip this weekend went very well. I was a little concerned having 4 woman sharing one bathroom but it all worked out for the best ;) .

This week will be a crazy one. My in-laws are moving to a new house, plus DH has two elderly relative who have become full time nursing home patients so both of their apartments need to be packed and emptied by Sunday :scared1: !

One of them is a major pack rat and has saved every receipt and peice of junk mail, envelope from cards, paper wrapping, etc. for the last 20 years literally!! The place is a disaster. I was over there last night with DMIL trying to make some headway and we ended up with 8 bags of garbage and haven't even scratched the surface. I think all of the that dust really flared up my allergies because I feel like poop today with a scratchy throat and lots of mucus in the tummy (sorry for TMI). I don't wanna go back over there but it HAS to get done. Sometimes there just doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day.

My own house is a wreck since DH couldn't be bothered to pick up anything while I was gone and I didn't get as much done as I wanted to to today since I didn't feel well.

I will try to catch up on journals tomorrow because I have a sorority meeting tonight. I hope everyone is doing well and had a great weekend. I have been thinking of all of you :sunny: !

:wave2: Hi everyone,
Well, my sore throat has progressed to laryngitis. Oddly, I don't feel very sick  . DH and I were supposed to go and see The Grudge today while DS was at school but there aren't any showings until 4:15 p.m. and that's not gonna happen.

I have been doing very well eating OP and drinking my water. I haven't been doing much for exercise unless packing counts. Those boxes are pretty heavy ;) .

I'm hoping I can get to the treadmill tomorrow. Dh is helping move tonight but he says he's not tomorrow. We'll see.

That's all for now  .

Val~

Sending you lots of healing :wizard: today. You know what I noticed???? In a few hours, your counter will be under 30 days for your trip to WDW!:Pinkbounc Woohoo! I bet you are so excited!!!!:hyper:

Okay... the autograph book. I bought a cheap autograph book at the Dollar store. What I plan on doing is going to Walmart to find some Disney fabric; princesses for the girls, Buzz for my nephew. Then what I will have them do is glue a square of felt on the front and back covers of the autograph book. Then we will cover the front and back covers in the Disney fabric and voila! A homemade autograph book! I may even buy letter beads that we can sew on to their books so they are personalized. I got this idea somewhere on the boards. I can't remember where though. I'm not sure how you could attach it to a belt loop though.....

If you have any more fun ideas about WDW (for parties and stuff or surprise bags), please send them my way. I am really starting to get excited!!!:hyper:

Have a great Wednesday!

Hey Val! I hope you are feeling better! I lose my voice at least once a year! The kids LOVE when that happens!! Mommy can't yell!!

I think the packing definitely counts as some type of exercise. You are probably working a different set of muscles than you would normally use, right?!

I hope you and DH get a few moments to just relax and enjoy each others company anyhow this afternoon!::yes::

Val, my kids are just like Sharon's - they are THRILLED when I lose my voice!! :p I do hope you're feeling better soon. Nice warm chicken soup seems to work wonders for me when my throat is feeling scratchy.

Best wishes for packing up those apartments. That can be a huge job and I am positive that it counts as exercise! ::yes:: You are a real sweetie for helping out! :sunny:

Hi Val,

Katie definately loves when I'm silent.

I hope you are feeling better. Packing DEFINATELY counts as exercise. Good Job staying OP despite your schedule.

Take care of yourself,
Beth

Hi Val!

How are you feeling today? I hope that you are feeling much better.::yes:: Take good care of you!

:wave2: Hey everyone,
I hope you all had a great Halloween! We have been soooo busy with the packing and the moving I haven't had a chance to catch my breath (or clean my house  ). That is finally OVER with and I am actually starting to feel human again ::yes:: .

We did find time to take DS out trick or treating this weekend and he had such a great time. Unfortunately, I have been sampling the candy. I need to think of a way to get it out of the house. I don't remember if I said this before but the did put DS on the Zyrtec and he is doing much better.

I was able to snag some tickets for the Clay Aiken holiday concert on Dec. 10th so I'm very excited about that :Pinkbounc :bounce: ! It will be the day after we get home from Disney. It's going to be a busy month for us (but a lot of fun!). I have never gone to a real concert before so this will be my first.

I plan to catch up on journals tonight  .

Gosh, you've been busy Val!! Glad to see some of the craziness will be dying down for you. Now it's time to focus on your Disney trip!!!:earsboy:

Send the candy to work with your husband - those guys will devour it in no time!

Glad the Zyrtec is helping DS. it is so hard to see them suffer, especially if there is something that can help them. ::yes::

Hope you get to stay OP this week! Enjoy this beautiful day we are having!

Hi Val,

I'm glad the Zyrtec is working for your DS. What a relief! Isn't trick or treating fun?

You must be exhausted. Are you going to get a chance to rest a bit today? I hope so.

You will love the concert. Seeing the performer live is so much better, and having the concert to look forward to will alleviate some of the Post Disney blues. I think that is smart thinking.

have a good Monday,
Beth

Good idea about DH bringing the candy to work, Sharon ::yes:: ! I'm sending him in with a nice big bagful tonight :smooth: .

 Glad your son is feeling better. How excited are all of you for WDW? My two littler ones are sooooooooo excited! So is their mom.;)
