Valid ID for SW Boarding

OOPS! Just realized my driver's license is expired. We fly out on Thursday. I can go get renewed, but new DL won't be here in time! Will it being expired be a problem for me when they check ID?

The DMV should give you a temp card/paper that you will show with your expired ID.

It is not SW so much as the TSA who require the ID. Expect to go through a more thorough screening at security. Plan to take longer to clear security, that way you won't feel rushed or stressed, if you get lucky and breeze through, then get a snack while you wait.

Do you have a valid/current passport? If so, I'd just use that instead when checking in and going through security.

My DH used an expired License on our honeymoon in 2007, and we had no problems going there but on way back we were put through an extra security screening line at the airport. Didn't really take a whole lot longer, but I was a little nervous about it. Worked out though!
