I just bought a crisp, new white all cotton dress shirt for formal night....as we all know, cotton tends to wrinkle when packed....So, I was thinking for the first time to have the shirt pressed onboard, rather than bringing it to my local cleaners, then packing it....

For those of you who have used onboard valet service, what is the lead-time needed from the time they pick up shirt, to the time you get it back? Also, what is the cost to press the shirt only?(no cleaning)..

Thanks for the info!!!!

What you are thinking..getting it pressed on the ship is the only way to go. So excellent and so easy.

The cost is 1/2 the price of dry cleaning...so approx $1.75 to press.

When you arrive on the ship, you luggage is delivered, take the shirt out of your luggage put it in the laundry bag that can be found in your cabin, along with anything else you want pressed and hang it on the knob outside of your door. The cabin steward will pick it up, and it will be returned to you in the morning, freshly pressed and ready to wear for the week.

We have used the service, we love it and will continue to use it. No worries about things wrinkling along the way, don't have to worry about packing "carefully".

I totally agree with webray, our room steward took care of ours for us. Had them back the next day. Avoids doing any ironing while on vacation!!!
