With Valet Parking returning to select Disney Resorts, do you still need a dining reservation to visit?

EDIT: Can anyone tell me their recent experience with this? I’m not looking for people to tell me what they think the guard may or may not do. I’m aware that resorts have had a policy of needing a dining reservation since reopening in the pandemic. I’m hoping that as Disney eases distancing and restrictions that resort hopping by car, rather than by Disney transportation, will return.

Example: If I wanted to stop by the Grand Floridian for a drink at the Enchanted Rose, could I just tell the security guard that I want to valet park?

Its unlikely that the guard will let you in without a dining reservation.

I’m asking for recent experiences…..as I clearly stated in my original post that I understood the pandemic policy of needing a dining reservation. I’m asking if that has *changed*. In pre-pandemic trips even if a resort had one of those “it’s a very busy day at the resort, dining reservations are required” signs, saying you’d like to Valet park would pretty much always work to get admitted past security.

Valet parking is still only available to guests with disabilities.

Parking at Disney Resort Hotels
Self-parking is available. Valet service continues to be available for Guests with disabilities who may require parking assistance. A valid disability parking permit is required. Valet service will be reintroduced to hotels over the coming months. Upon your arrival, please check with the Security Host for parking options.

Not according to multiple Walt Disney World websites that post reliable information. WDWMagic reported: the "tentative" return timeline, but we should note that this information has not been updated on Disney's official website yet:
This aligns with the reopening of resorts like Beach Club and Wilderness Lodge. So as of today, valet should be available at all the resorts listed above for any guest, not just those with disabilities.

And again….this didn’t answer my original question….

OP, yes, valet parking is back at the resorts you posted. Unfortunately, I haven’t seen any reports from anyone who has posted about your specific question yet.

I ‘assume’ that valet will operate as it used to - you can pay and park regardless of an ADR - but definitely don’t take that as fact given the current circumstances. If I see any reports around, I’ll come back and post, if no one has posted specific experiences in the interim.

That was according to the official Disney World website. :confused3

My experience last week June 2:

Had a reservation at The Wave. Pulled up, security guard asked to see my confirmation, asked DH for his driver's license, let us in with no remarks on parking time.

Had no reservations at WL. Told guard I wanted to shop in the store and look at lobby. He asked DH for DL. Let us park with no remarks on parking time.

This was free self-parking, not valet.

Awesome! Thanks so much.
