I have not been able to confirm, but maybe someone can answer this. Is Valet Parking at the resorts free with the DDE.

It is only free if you are dining at that resort and probably for a limited amount of time.

What if I had an ADR at the GF or Poly and then after diner wanted to go over to the Magic Kingdom, but leave the car.

Then, if there is a time limit associate with the perk which you would likely exceed by going to a park instead of picking up your car, you might end up having to pay when you pick up your car.

I guess, I could also try the self parking also, but its always so crowded at the GF

I believe you get 3 hours free valet parking with DDE if you are dining at a restaurant in the resort. :drinking1 popcorn::

When you valet park at a resort, there is NO time limit on your length of stay. You will be fine leaving your car at GF after dinner to go to MK for a few hours. Also, the DDE card does make it(valet parking) free for you(as well as a handicapped sticker or DVC membership).

Right - there's (likely*) no time limit when Valet Parking; but if the DDE provides X-hours' free Valet while the holder is dining at the given resort and the Guest exceeds that time limit, that person should not be surprised if they are charged the full amount when they finally DO pick up the car. I'm not saying it will happen, but anyone planning to try this should be prepared with the Valet fee... and of course, the tip - in ANY case.

Free or not, I can't bring myself to use a valet... I keep thinking of Ferris Bueler's Day Off :rotfl:

You can park for free when dining at the resort, and they are supposed to ask for a receipt, but they never do. I am just telling you so you are not surprised if they ask for one. I show my DDE card when I arrive and tell them I am dining there, and it is never an issue.

And yes, I have left my car for longer than 3 hours, and never had a problem.

And of course, don't forget to tip!

Nothing wrong with using valet parking if you are staying at that resort OR dining at that resort. But you really are not supposed to use valet parking to go to the theme parks. Use the theme park parking or Disney transportation to go to the theme parks.
