Valet parking at deluxe resorts

Specifically thinking of visiting boardwalk and contemporary to utilise counter service credits.

Therefore; we clearly won’t have adrs for security to check off at the gate...

We will have a disabled temporary parking permit-I think I read once we could valet park for free?!

Is this true or my imagination?
If so-
Are cars ever refused valet parking?
Would we be more or less certain to be able to park?
Or is this service only for table service guests?

Yes, placard gets free valet. You can be turned away in rare circumstances, but they tend to be holidays or similar.

I’m from the U.K. and we’ve never used valet service before-

I don’t wish to appear British and ignorant (very easily done!)
Kindly please advise if this is a tip is required situation & what $ necessary

Yes tip. I do not know current going rate, though.

Flexible, but with Valet parking typically costing $33, reasonable to tip more rather than less.

I would definitely tip since the service will be free.
We typically tip $5 when picking up the car, but you could also tip a similar amount then dropping off the car if you feel compelled. If we are checking in, we definitely tip based on the bags.
