Valet Parking at Chef Mickey

Was wondering how many of you have valet parked, had breakfast at Chef Mickey's and then left your car to head to Mk for a few hours. We are only staying till early afternoon. I have heard conflicting reports on this and was wondering about your personal experience.

There are signs at the entrance to each of the deluxe resorts saying that they are sorry but they cannot provide parking for the theme parks. You would be able to park there for your meal at Chef Mickey's but you really should move your vehicle once you leave the resort. So many of the guests who stay there have a very difficult time finding a parking place when so many other guests who are not staying there use the resort for parking to go to the MK.

We have eaten at Chef Mickey's, but did not valet park. When you go into the parking lot there is a guard booth. They used to give you something to put in your front windsheild that indicated what time you parked. We had 2 hours and then were supposed to move our car. We walked over to MK and on the way we passed the guard shack. We asked if we could leave it there and because it was a non busy time of year, we didn't have a problem. I guess it all depends. We were honest about it and asked. We would have movied it if they told us to.

If you valet park, you are free to leave your car there as long as you wish that day. You're actually paying for a days worth of valet parking; you can even show your receipt and valet for free at another resort that same day if you wish. The valet lot is separate from the regular lots, so if you keep your car there all day it has no bearing on the availability of spots for non valet parking guests.
