I have a six year old boy and an 18 month old girl. What do you do or give your kids for valentine's day or do you do anything ?
My cute little boy seems really excited - obviously crazy 18 month old won't know the difference - but my DS will not want her left out.
so, any suggestions?

Little boxes of chocolates/other candies and stuffed animals are always a no-brainer for small children. :thumbsup2

I just bought my kids a gift yesterday. I have two children both girls, 4 and 7 mo. I got the four year old a small box of heart shaped candy, a book, and a Barbie, and a Barbie outfit. I got the baby a book, a small toy that looks like a remote control, a teether, and a box of MumMums. I always get them something for Valentine's Day but nothing extravagant. The four year old talked me into buying heart shaped Ravioli at Costco so we are having that for our Valentine's Day dinner.

I have three kids and we are taking them away for the long weekend we are leaving for the great escape lodge and indoor water park tomorrow morning and coming home on Tuesday they have next week off for winter vacation we are going to do some other things while we are in lake George ny

We are heading to the beach for the long week-end. Most years the little guy gets a small toy or movie or game and the older a small gift card or a bit of money. I avoid candy and stuffed animals most years though the little guy did love stuffed animals when he was little so some years it was a trip to build a bear.

I normally do a card, a book, and something like stickers. We make a special breakfast and spread all the grandparent cards and cards we make each other out on the table. It is visually surprising and apparently memorable, as this year, we arrive at WDW on Valentines (!!!!), and my dd was very concerned. "Oh no, we can't do our Valentines!" So, we are packing all our cards, and I bought glow sticks, and some Disney themed notebooks, stickers, and mini dry erase boards. Incidentally, this is the one year my dd seems to have opted for making 3d Valentines out of old tin cans for all 4 of us. She is committing a fair amount of her carry on space to those babies!

This year it's 2 books each, a couple of stocking stuffers I forgot to give them at Christmas and some candy. I plan to do heart shaped donuts on V-day itself and may pick up some cupcakes tomorrow at the grocery store or bake cookies. Normally we do heart shaped pancakes for dinner too.

We're having a bit of fun with it this year. This week at our playgroup, the kiddos made cards for mom and dad, and the ones DD "made" are sitting on our kitchen table as we speak. I've decided to make a nice dinner Saturday night and we'll watch Lady and the Tramp. Corny I know, but it's just something fun to do and we're taking advantage since it's on a Saturday this year.

I have previous years but this year both kids have parties at their preschools plus exchange valentines with classmates. We're also having my son's fifth birthday party tomorrow (it was the only day free when I went to book his birthday isn't until March) so we're pretty busy with getting ready for it. In the past I did things like buy them those squeeze pouches so nothing big just something small.
