Valentine's Day

My best Valentine's Day ever was in 2002. DH and I were sitting in a booth at TGI Friday's in Moscow, Russia, holding our new baby daughter in our arms and eating our first meal together as a family. We walked around Moscow that night holding our daughter and in disbelief that we finally had a baby. It was VERY surreal and I will remember it forever.

Ah yes, the shoeboxes to put your Valentines day cards in. I rememeber that vividly from being a child.
Valentines day is nothing special to me. Even when I was single and dating, I can remember one that I actually had a boyfriend for who took the time to put a little gift bag together for me which included chocolate, a small flower arrangement and a pretty candle. I knew he wasnt the love of my life, but it was sweet at the time.
Now that Ive been married 12 yrs, I dont think we have ever "celebrated " this holiday. My husband will get me a card, and sometimes a small box of candy but thats it.
I do however, try to get my kids a small token of something or another on this day.
This yr Valentines day is on a Tuesday, and we will be celebrating at girlscouts, because thats our meeting night. Cant get any more exciting then that. :rotfl:
