Valentines Day Check-In

Good morning my wish friends. I hope you guys had a successful kick off to our Valentines Day goals. It seems like the weight comes off nicely these first weeks after those of us that where not so good over the holidays get back on track. I have torn up my 8.5 goal to loose 4 lbs this past 7 days!!! Not only did i regain my clippee i am 4.5 lbs from my 100lb clippee and GOAL! I'm excited about that. My one year wish anniversary is coming up and i sure would like to earn that last lone clippee to celebrate it. Kinda makes me wish i did'nt try for maintance for almost 2 months and loose all this time. Okay 36 days to Valentines Day how are you doing?

I wanted to share a nice light dessert for those of you that maybe fixing a nice dinner for your sweetheart this year. Last year i did salads,cajun steamed shrimp, stir fried veggies, coleslaw and for dessert i got out my champange glasses. In the bottom about and inch deep i packed down some gramham crackers that i crushed myself. Then i add some instant chocolate pudding i had made and sat in the frig for an hour or so. I filled it to about an inch from the top and then added some REGULAR cool whip on the top! Man it was delicious!!!!!! It was'nt packed full of fat that was the beautiful thing and it was just he right size to satisfy and my husband thought the use of champange glass's was neat. Just wanted to share with you. Remember we do eating sensible/portion control so this may not work for those of your no/low carbing your way down. Have a great day everyone.
 
Tammi - WOW! 4 lbs in 7 days!!! WOHOO! That is great for you! Especially since you have not just begun your journey, but are well into it! The red goal clippee is gonna look SOOOO nice! Way to go!

I myself seem to be off to a slow start for my Valentines goal of 10 lbs down. I have maintained only so far. But it is just about TOM, so I am hoping next weeks weigh in will show some big results. I have exercised 3 out 4 nights this week and am on my way upstairs to do a FIRM tape this AM. I still feel confident that I'll loose these 10 lbs by VD!::yes::
 
Sharon your doing a great job. Exercise is a huge accomplishment and it takes time for your body to adjust to to if your just beginning and tom is not nice either. I'm sure you'll get a whoosh next week. You need to be getting plenty of water right now to wash away the bloat and sooth those muscles.
 
was kind enough to take with her 2.5 lbs of wine and salt that I had indulged in during the holidays. yea!! I'm reporting in at 3.5/9 lbs for this challenge. 1.5 lb more to legally wear my clippie again!

Well, I am .5/10 that I need to lose for this challenge. I have got to get my rear in gear and get focused again. I have had trouble getting re-focused after the holidays. It's like when you have too much time off from school, it's so hard to get back into the swing. I am back to drinking my water but I haven't gotten my exercise in like I need to this week. I just haven't been motivated. I am working on my attitude and the fact that I really want to get back to my comfort zone and I'm not going to get there if I keep this up.

Sorry to ramble, just had to get that off of my chest.:D Keep up the hard work everyone.
 
I started again this week after a Holiday cruise. Boy, it's hard to restart! Is there an official Valentine's Day Challenge? If so, would someone direct me to it? Would like to see about 7 lbs. less of me by then. Diana
 
I lost 2lbs this week, which puts me at 2/15 for the Valentine's challenge. Good luck to everyone doing this challenge. Onward and downward together :grouphug:
 
I'm down 1 (actually 1.2, but I'll add the .2 to next weeks loss:D )

Hubby and I started Nutrisystem yesterday, I'll let you know how things go. The food is pretty good.
 
I'm doing my best to get back into the swing of things, now that the holidays are FINALLY over... 2 pounds gone this week, which puts me at 2/15 for the Valentine's challenge. I'll need to step it up a little bit to make my goal, but I think I can do it!

I stayed the same this week. It is TOM so I'm kind of glad I stayed the same and didn't gain. Oh well, I'm hoping for a good loss next week. Good luck everyone!:sunny:

I am down 6.5 this week. It all was holiday weight that I had put on.
So, I'm happy about that. :)

Now, if I could just get my mouse to quit loosing it's ball while I'm trying to post a note to you guys! Eek! Don't worry, I'm talking about my computer mouse. :p

I don't remember what I weighed last Friday:rolleyes: so I'm going to have to use Mondays weight. I have lost 1lb since Monday.
So I'm at 1lb of 10lb for this challenge:hyper:

I'm at 1lb of 11lb, but is not "official" until monday... my weight in day. Maybe by then I will have lost one more pound. :)
 
I don't know what happened, but I'm up 3 lbs.:confused: I got weighed in at WW today, and was shocked! I didn't do anything different, even started working out last week. So after talking to the WW counselor, have decided to cut my points down to 20, no flex points, and try to work out a little more. I am a salt fiend, and ate alot of salty things this week, so that's out too. Plus, I do have a bowel problem, :o , sorry to be so frank, am actually on a med for it called Zelnorm, you've probably seen the commercials for it, and it really hasn't worked much this week, so I'm going to up the fiber, and hope between that and cutting out the salt, lose a little more this week. That being said, I'm 0/15, so does that make 18 lbs by Valentine's Day?? It's gonna be tough, but I'm still going to try.
 
I'm down 3 pounds this week. A good beginning, but my pattern has been a big loss, followed by a couple of weeks of maintaining or even gaining a little. Now that I've started exercising, it will be interesting to see if I have the same loss pattern.

Teresa, I wouldn't be surprised at all if you see a nice loss this next week. I'll bet your problem was the salty stuff--it can really do a number on you. I think the Bloat Fairy visits the chip and pretzel factories and dumps extra salt in when no one is looking!

Well, as for me, I am maintaining, which is what I have been doing since Thanksgiving! I gained 3.5 over Christmas and New year's eve, and I have since lost that. So, that is good, I am down to the last 10. These are the most frustrating!!
So, count me for 0/10 in the VD challenge.

I may have set my goal too low for this one! I'd set a goal of 6 lbs hoping to lose 1 lb/wk. So far I've lost 2 of the 6 lbs I set out to lose. For now the goal will stay at 6 lbs, but if they come off & I still have time left I'll bump up my goal to 11 lbs which would give me yet another new clippie. Right now I'm shooting for my 45 lb clippie but if I'm able to increase my goal I'll get a 50 lb one! Wouldn't that be a great VD present to give to myself? :teeth:
I started back on induction on 1/1, that's why the weight is coming off faster than usual, but I'm not sure I will be staying on strict induction all that time so my rate of loss will probably slow down some as I increase my carbs a little bit.
 
I think I need to jump on this challenge! In my fantasy world I would like to lose 9.8 pounds, so we may as well call it 10 pounds. My goal is to lose this by February 18th as this will be my one year WISH anniversary. I have put on a couple of pounds over the holidays, so I am ready and raring to go.

I am happy to report a 2.4/9.8 (10) loss. I normally weigh at the beginning of the week, but for the sake of this challenge (and the fact that TOM is due at the beginning of the week) I am weighing in today. I am happy with the loss, but have to admit it has been hard getting back on WW this week, I haven't heard my tummy growl this much in a long, long time. I guess it proves I really did overindulge over the holidays, well that and the 3.5 gain proves it. But I am back on track....ONWARD and DOWNWARD!!!!

Congratulations Tammy on your loss this week, you are so close now...keep up the great work! And thanks for the dessert idea for Valentine's Day!
