OK, I think I may have asked this before... does anyone know if there is anything special on  Valentine's Day :lovestruc going on?

Any info would be appreciated!

Thanks!

We were there for V-Day in 2000 and there was nothing special going on. But that was 6 years ago....

We have been at WDW every V-day for the last...maybe 5 years... and never saw anything special either.

....being at Disney for V-day is special enough ;)

40 days and counting!!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :love2: :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

im not sure if this is considered special but last year DS and i tokk and mother son trip . we went to epcot suring valentines day. however the next day while waiting for the flights of wonder show at AK, we were told that mgm had "special characters" out. couples..like milo and kids ect. i didnt get to see them , so not sure how reliable the info was.
This year DD and i are taking a mother daughter trip for her 8th bday, and we have plans to make sure we are at mgm that day just in case :cloud9:

I know it is! Can't wait to go! Thanks for the responses anyway!

I think I read somewhere that Downtown Disney gets into the Valentine's Day spirit... or it may be the boardwalk. But I remember reading that there are tarot card readers offering to read your love horoscope and that there are red lights everywhere. Again, I have no idea where I heard/read this, but I definitly did.

Have fun on your trip!!!

We will be there DH, DS, DD and I from Feb 8-18. DH's birthday is Valentine's Day and we got married on Valentine's Day so it doesn't matter what is going on it is always special for us. I have to figure out how we are going to celebrate though!

Same here! We go on VDay for our anniversary every year. This year we are having dinner in Mexice. We did Morocco last time. The parks dont do anything special, but its still a great time! Oh, and be prepared, that will prob be the busiest day during your stay! We will be there the 12-18, and I cant wait!

We were there in 2000 too, and while we didn't see anything special, we did get a very cute refillable mug in MGM with Minnie and Mickie, covered with hearts. I still have it today...and they have some neat pins...

:flower:

:jumping2: :jumping3: :thewave: :dancer: We will be arriving on Valentine's Day.....and while we are out to Disney Quest...then to dinner at Wolfe Gang Puck Cafe...."Mickey" will bring some special Valentine treats for my four grandchildren to discover when we come back to our rooms.... ::yes::   ::yes:: :) :rotfl: :teeth: :duck:

They already have some cute Valentine merchandise out. There is a plush set of Mickey and Minnie dressed for Valentine's Day. They have heart shaped suckers, a box of Valentine chocolates with Mickey and Minnie on the front and some little chocolate hearts. And of course, a new Valentine antenna topper.

Pleasure Island hosting February events
Downtown Disney® Pleasure Island at the Walt Disney World Resort is the place to be in February, as the nightlife hotspot rolls out two festive events: Sweetheart Island and Parti Gras.

Sweetheart Island, taking place Feb. 10, 11 and 14, is an eclectic tribute to romance, with Love Prophets foretelling Guests' romantic futures in the West End plaza, Cupid roaming the streets and more. And not since your senior prom have you seen this many feather banners and heart-shaped balloons!

Later in the month, the island puts a unique spin on the Mardi Gras tradition by presenting Parti Gras Feb. 24, 25 and 28. Jester heads and giant beads will replace those balloon hearts for this colorful celebration, where the Krewe of Confusion and the World's Dinkiest Mardi Gras Parade are among the tongue-in-cheek acts seizing the night.

These special events, which don't require Pleasure Island club admission, also will feature live music on the West End Stage, where Guests will rock to the sounds of The Leonard Brothers during the Sweetheart Island celebration and Doo Wah Riders during Parti Gras.
