Val & Dan's PJ- Wedding Canceled

I like the centerpieces, simple, yet effective. Have they given you pricing or do you get that when you get your BEO?

I did order a Blurb book for my friend that went away. I forgot to take pictures of it though, it was a busy week, sorry.
This is the preview of it though:

She loved it. It was only 20 pages and you can do more, but we didn't want to make it longer just for the sake of making it longer. I think they are cheaper than the other books, at least I think that's what Lurkyloo said, and I rarely feel the need to check her facts.

The book turned out great though. I got the large format, and instead of getting a dustcover I had them print onto the cover. I loved it, and I'm going to make a big fat one for my wedding with the thousands of images I hope to get from our photographer.

I like your book! That is nice, and very thoughtful of you to put all of those memories together for her!

No BEO yet.

We were told the regular - non floral BEO ie food, drink, music would be in two weeks, and the decor - floral would be 4 weeks. Maybe she even said 6.

That was over 30 days ago. Still nothing.

I am strangely calm about it, I think Val is nervous, and Todd (DD) asks every other day or so. :lmao:

It took a while for my floral to come in. They didn't even do up a BEO after my PS, because I already made changes within days afterwards. They figured it's just safer to wait. But, it does sometimes take a while to get the paperwork! Don't they know you're waiting on pins and needles?:rotfl:

I hope it comes in soon, for DD's sake :)

I love your centerpieces!! I may just have to steal some pics from you!

Steal away, all the pics I showed my planner were stolen from the DIS! :lmao:

Simple... When asked about how I want my wedding I wanted fabulous not simple. But, I decided I don't want to have to give up my open bar so I could have fabulous center peices. Are you sitting down??? for the smaller centerpiece the price was $100 and it was $250 for the larger ones. I was shocked!!!! I haven't gotten my BEO. I figure I'll wait until the end of sept before I start to pester them about it. I've heard it's wedding season at DL.

That's great that your book turned out so well!!! Your photographer is going to get some great pics!! I checked out their site a couple weeks ago. It's fabulous!!!!!

I was nervous but not anymore!! No cutting for me! :rotfl:

Well, for every week it takes WDW to get something done I give DL at least triple the time. They don't have a very big group over there doing everything for the weddings.

I got my BEO two days before my final payment was due. I faxed back my "approval" of my BEO, and they called me the next day asking me how I wanted to pay. I was like, "oh, I thought payment wasn't due for another week." and the lady on the phone (not my planner) said, "no, it's due today, according to your contract." Well excuse me.

At least they called me, I guess.

Hey Val!

Just catching up with your PJ...everything looks awesome! Wow...those bags look great... the graphic is cut to perfection, I say!:lmao:

I need to call Kris and see if she still wanted to do Narnia this weekend...I'd love to see your book!

Talk to you soon! Love ya  :flower3:

Val I love the centerpieces! Are they in those colors? We are doing the flowers in water and candles for our wedding is well. I think its much prettier and gives the tables a warmer feel.

I love your centerpieces and aisle decorations. I think they will all turn out great! What flowers are you thinking about using instead?

Yes!! The cutting was done very well!! Thank you for not drinking too many martoonis!!! I asked her about it a couple weeks ago.....

Thank you!! I was mostly looking for cheap centerpieces that didn't scream cheap!!!

I like your Guest Book except where DF was cut off. Your E pics are amazing!!!

Thank you!! Yes, that is unfortunate and I still haven't contacted walmart about it.
Oh i like those centerpieces!! Very pretty!

Thank you!!! I don't know what types of flowers they will use. The bouquets are roses/hydrangeas but, neither of those will look nice sunken under water!! It'll look fab no matter what though!!

Just read the whole PJ. Goodness everything sounds great. It is going to be beautiful. Just curious though, whatever happened to your mom and her DVC? Unless I missed it somehow! Your pictures look amazing!

Hi Val, I've been away for a while and am tryihg to catch up on everyones PJ. I love your plans so far, the guest book is fabulous!!!! Love it :cool2: the proce of the centerpieces nearly made me fall over  the engagement pictures turned out fantastic, you coordinated the clothes really well. Oh and the welcome bags are so cute, I may have to steal that idea from you ;)

Hi Val, just finely catching up again! I absolutely LOVE your guest book! Your plans are all coming along nicely, and all the details are beautiful!

I decided that I want to buy where I stay, which is a common theme amongst DVCers!

I am taking my chance to be able to buy into GCV when it becomes available.

I was THIS CLOSE to buying at Kidani, but that 7 month booking window bothered me, and I want to be able to stay in a Grand Villa, which is pretty hard at 7 months.

I threw a request out to the DVC forum for advice, and didn't hear anything for a while. Just an hour before I would have to call and say yes or no, two people popped up and said not to worry, they were certain there would be availability for the general public, and that made up my mind!

I felt instantly better, but hope to buy when we are there for Val's wedding!

And as a fan of the Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge.....I must say that place is going to be so cool when it opens up! (The building is massive!)

But I agree, you should buy where you want to stay. My brother is doing his DVC tour when he comes down in a week (I live 15 minutes from Disney) and he wants to buy through resale because he'd rather have Boardwalk or Beach Club as one of his home resorts. (Epcot is his favorite park.) I personally would rather have him buy into the Lodge- cause if he doesn't use his points- he could let his sister and brother-in-law stay there! Pretty sure that will never happen!

Just wanted to thank you and your mom again for emailing me the graphic you used for your welcome bag. I ended up using this on our Welcome Folders. I was stressing out about making bags. I use a Laser Jet printer and you cannot print iron-on transfers on a Laser Jet because of the heat and I checked with Staples and they will not print iron-on transfers on their printers. So I printed the Welcome Door on labels and stuck them on my bright red welcome folders.

I ordered the Disney Sinch Sacks off the Disney Outlet website. It works out to be a little more money per bag but I only needed 30 and this way when they come in I just have to fill them and not worry about ironing on a transfer and then changing the handles. Just fill them and go. I should be getting them soon so I will let you know how they work out.

Hey Val,

Love the book and your centerpieces! Oh, and those bags are adorable. I'm not doing Welcome Bags - I don't really feel obligated since we are a surprise and folks are not traveling on our behalf BUT I'm thinking I might do small bags with a few different items for favors??? It's all you girls and your awesome bags that get me thinking :goodvibes

What fun! I can't wait to see how they turn out! Thanks for keeping us in the loop!

I just got the bags delivered today and they are great. http://disneyshopping.go.com/webapp...&productId=1227964&langId=-1&categoryId=14507 The perfect size and hopefully everyone will like them I made my own "Guest of Honor" badges. I used button makers like you would use for pictures and made them look like the GOH badges you used to be able to buy at the parks. I am planning on pining the badges to the outside of the bags and filling the bags with two water bottles, the folder with your welcome sign on the front, I am in the process of making Bear Necessities bags and a few other assorted things - like biscotti and maybe some crackers.

One of these days I will learn how to post pictures and I will do so.

Thanks again,

Linda
