This will be our first trip to DLRP, having been many times to WDW.

We're driving down to the tunnel for a late morning train, (Monday 28th May for 5 nights) and expect to be at the resort (DCR) 3-4pm or thereabouts. We want to get some provisions in to do a few meals and BBQs at the cabin, but as we won't have any room in the boot, we'll have to unload first. So, the plan would be to grab essentils only from on-site shop, and head to the parks before closing time for a brief look round (park tickets are included, so it won't cost anything) and probably get dinner at the Village. Can we book in advance from the UK?

Day 2, early start at the main park, then off early/mid pm to a more substantial supermarket for supplies... best (favourite?) store? Diiner that night probably at the resort/cabin before an evening at the Village.

Day 3 - Paris - we'd like to drive to a station close to DCR with safe parking.. recommendations?

Day 4 - Studios, and another session at the DLPark (dinner at the Blue Lagoon?) and Village.

Day 5 - Paris.

Day 6 (saturday).. up early for the journey home.

Supermarket = Auchan hypermarket at Val d'Europe open approx 8.30 - 10 but not sure about Sunday. We fill up with petrol there too. Also buy our wine there if not stopping in Calais. If you do stop in Calais for wine supplies I can recommend Eastenders, rough & ready the warehouse NOT the wine. but great stock & brill prices.

You can park in the supermarket car-park & catch the train from Val d' Europe to Paris but why not just park at Disney & catch the train there. Staying at DCR you get free parking.

Don't forget to plan in time to use the pool at DCR my teenagers love it. there is a small area insde the pool to sit & watch if you don't want to go in.. The windows of the restaurant look out into the pool too.

Can recommend the Chinese reataurant at Val d' Europe.

I think all your questions were answered above, except for the meal at the village one - the only prebookable restaurant in the village is Cafe Mickey (great for character interaction and the food's pretty good too) or the Buffalo Bill dinner show (well worth it for the show but the food's basic Texmex, drinks are included), none of the others do reservations at all I'm afraid.
Hope this helps. :)

Blue Lagoon is a good choice - my favourite restaurant in the park.pirate:

We shopped at Auchan supermarket during our last stay. I was given the option to pay in pounds using my credit card - so I assume that will have avoided the foreign currency commision of 2%. It is not open on Sundays.

If buying petrol using british credit card or cash you have to go to the underground petrol station which is manned. We went round the car park a few times trying to find it. I think the price of petrol at Auchan was about the same as at the Esso petrol station on the way out of disney.

However I'm sure Auchen sneaked the 2% atleast into the sterling rate.

Best card is the Nationwide credit card as you can pay in Euros avoiding all fees and get a really good exchange rate.
