VAflying club miles exchanged for hilton honors?

has anyone successfully exchanged their virgin atlantic miles for hilton honors and booked a hotel in florida....I have read that Wayne has used his AA miles and booked a hotel so was wondering if anyone else has done the same...would do the same if it will save me some pennies

Hi was going to exchange for Hilton but after some research we found we needed about 40,000 points just to stay 1 night in Florida. We thought that was a rip off. So instead we waited for miles and money offers and saved £1100 on our flights instead.
