vaction booking question

Hi,

New to the boards. My gf and I are starting to plan our first trip to WDW together. We are planning to go the first weekend in Sep. Since there are no packages yet, should we wait til they come out, or would disney apply them even after the trip is booked.

Would you also get the dinning plan? The way they word it is not 100% clear to me.

There are packages available for your date. No discounts have been announced for that time period. If it is free dining you are looking for, when discount is announced you will need to check availability for the resort you want. There needs to be availability to get the discount. Disney only offers a limited number of rooms for a discount.
