Vacation Village @ Parkway. How is it?

My DisFam and I are going to WDW in October and will be staying at The Vacation Village at Parkway in Kissimmee. Anyone ever been there? How is it? Have a DD4 and DS6. Any input would be much appreciated. Thanks.

We stayed there in '05 and '06 when our DS would have been 1 and 2. The first time was in an B unit and the second time was in an A unit. We were very happy both times, and would love to stay there again this year, if we could find a good price, again.

There pools are pretty simple (no water slides, etc.), but everything was clean. We were able to get very good prices for a weeks stay, and loved having a partial or full kitchen along with a washer and dryer.

I have several condos in the area and I am a DVC member. When we decide not to stay on property (like when we run out of points or we are traveling with a large party) Vacation Village is one of our first picks. Again nothing fancy, but always clean, bright and a great location. Very close to the parks and easy to get to in/out. There are also a lot of restuarants and grocery stores in the immediate area. I have two little boys and there is always room for them to run and play. Hope this helps.

Thanks so much for the info. I also love the idea of having the kitchen. We of course love to be on property as often as we can however when we haven't been able to we have stayed at a few other off property condos and weren't as happy. Usually with the overall cleanliness and the pool being such a distance away. So this helps alot!
